You set a DAILY goal, right? So that means three miles today, no matter what you did yesterday or the day before. Now I need to take my own advice, because I haven't gotten ANY exercise today, and really need to! So thanks for the reminder!

Quinoa salad recipe, please?:drinker:

Regular bacon, crispy! (my husband is allergic to poultry, so turkey bacon would be just cruel! )

I walked 30 miles in April, and set my goal for 50 in May (got 48 as of today), but I didn't count my Wii steps. If 10,000 steps = 1 mile, then I think I can do 100 miles in June.

Exercise check in Sunday 5/22 - 125 minutes, 922 calories  Monday 5/23 - 20 minutes, 150 calories :grumble: I've already got a walk in today, though, so I'm off to a better start than yesterday.

Between a 55 minute morning walk and 70 minutes on the Wii (35 afternoon & evening), I burned 922 calories on 5/22. However, I have barely moved all day today. Need to do something about that ASAP!

Tami: big high five on breaking 325! I love the calories burned challenge. This week, my goal is to get an hour's walk and an hour on the Wii every day (I usually break the Wii into two sessions). This is a great way to help me stay on track, thanks!

Back on track after Florida for a week, and I'm down 2 pounds to 298.5. Since I'm working outside the house very little right now and the kids aren't back until Memorial Day, I'm going to really work on being super focused and as on track as possible.

Hungarian on my Dad's side, Croatian, Scottish, maybe Irish & Native American on my mom's side.

I'm a stress eater, too. The only thing I can do is find another way to deal with the stress. Walking really helps me, although I know that isn't always a practical alternative.

I requested an invite, but won't be able to get it until I'm back home on Tuesday. Definitely something to look forward to!

I started using the Wii Fit Plus in March, after I'd lost 20 pounds. I do the Free Step most frequently, but I also like the balance and Training Plus games. Once I'm home next week, I'm going to get back to the yoga and try to add some strength training every morning as well. I've really liked it for the days that I can't…

Great picture!

Seen this site? http://meanestmommy.com/ My kids are 9 and 12, but I still get a huge kick out of reading there! "Rule #439: If you are thirsty, just ask Mommy for a drink. Do not help yourself to the dog’s water." is my recent favorite.

Looks delish! I keep wanting to make quinoa, but can't find it at the store. At some point, I'm going to have to break down and go to a new store . . .

The same thing happened to me over Easter. We also had potlucks, and miserable weather, so it was hard to get out and walk, and I had a serious "don't care" attitude. Now that I'm back in the groove, I feel a lot better!
-
I've been working very hard this week to get my exercise in. I had several days since Easter where I made nothing but bad food choices, and barely exercised, and I really felt the results. Now I'm determined to be back on track.

I ended up splitting a veggie fajita with a friend, and I think it was about as good a choice as I could make. I really appreciate everyone's input, thanks!

Either oatmeal with fruit & sometimes nuts, or scrambled eggs with cheese & vegetables. A while back I made Cook's Illustrated Best Light Recipe Cinnamon Rolls, and they were SO GOOD!

Oy, this was a rough week. I was ignoring Easter candy (though I hardly made really healthy choices over the weekend, and it's been raining a lot this week--bad for walking). Then yesterday went straight to hell in a handbasket. I did not eat one healthy thing all day, and went to town on the candy. I didn't so much fall…

I'm always up for frugal discussions! One difference I've noticed in groceries is that I'm buying a lot less butter (go figure, huh?), but shopping more frequently so we can stay on top of fresh fruits & vegetables. Also, I have more time to plan out frugal things when I'm not working. For instance, last night I didn't…

My main goal for the week was to get out and walk, but the weather was uncooperative, so I've been working the Wii, but it's hard to find time for that, too. Still, i lost 2.5 this week, so I'm happy. Any my ticker updated, yay! This coming week's goals: walk OUTSIDE (even if the weather is garbage), drink my eight glasses…

I think "bump" is so people have it listed in "My Topics" and also to keep it closer to the top of the list. My fave is http://cheaphealthygood.blogspot.com/

The weigh in part isn't what I'm trying to change. I can't change the starting weight to reflect where I was a few months ago. If I can't change it tomorrow (my first official MFP weigh in), I'll give tech support a yell.
-
My ticker is messed up (won't let me change my starting weight), but my stats are in my signature. I weigh in on Thursdays, and I'll make sure I post it here.
-
For some reason, I can't get the start weight to change. Oh well, whatevs. 46 pounds in 90 days is amazing, congratulations!
-
Last week I made mashed potatoes that was actually one-third cauliflower, and no one noticed. Next time, I'm going to try half and half.
-
I'd like to jump in as well if it's still open.

Can I still get in on this group? Sounds very supportive! I started counting calories on Feb 4, after a trip to the doctor showed high blood pressure. I've never had a problem with that before, and when she threatened me with BP meds, I got on track with paying attention to what I was eating, and started moving more. Since…
