Thank you. I try to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, sometimes I have to have a bed rest day but I don't beat myself up about it because I listen to my body and some days it says 'for goodness sake woman, will you just rest!' I know what you mean about support groups and I stick to positive ones like The Wahls…

Thanks for all the replies. I was starting to think I was the only one struggling with all these horrid illnesses, on top of trying to be healthy and active. I don't feel so alone now.

Hi, I went gluten free in April and it has helped me a lot with my medical conditions. I will be following the Wheat belly diet in January, as I aim to remove grains to see if this is of further benefit.

I find it is every 10lbs. I found that when gaining too!

I am under calories most days and it predicts I will weigh a stone less in five weeks! However, I am over 40, on medication that is known for adding weight, hypothyroid and have a hormonal imbalance! I guess it doesn't take any of that in to consideration. ;)

And I am a mental health nurse who has crippling bipolar depressions, which only medication can treat. Research does shows that mild depression can be helped with exercise. Severe depression is a different matter and it is like asking someone with a broken leg to run a marathon. It is insulting. Your use of the terminology…

Strange that. When I was slim, eating well and going to the gym, I still had depression. Maybe I'm not doing it right?
