  • No kids, had my Mirena since May 2017. So far, I have maintained my weight, and have no issues losing it when my eating/exercise habits are in order. My periods are much lighter, but I get annoying spotting from time to time. I also get more bloated than usual before my period, but the bloating subsides when my period is…
  • Hello! I used to work at my local Sonic Drive-in like 7 years ago. I was definitely addicted to the tater tots, oops. Countering what most people have said here already; don't go with a fad diet like keto. The word "diet" itself already implies that it's a temporary thing. Eat how you plan on eating for the rest of your…
  • I usually just take a small piece of whatever they're offering me, not the full portion (unless the full portion fits in my macros). We have free food at work every Friday, and we celebrate birthdays at the end of every month. Free food at work = bagels, donuts, pastries, etc; birthdays = cake, ice cream, pie. I will…
  • Drink water as your only beverage? Sure, 100% safe and you should do it. But....only drinking water and not eating anything? Don't do it.
  • I recommend making overnight oats (with steel cut oats, almond milk, little bit of cinnamon and brown sugar), put them in a mason jar or small tupperware container, stick it in the fridge overnight, and in the morning, you can heat them up for 1-2 minutes and top them with berries or sliced bananas. Or you can make a…
  • It depends; I enjoy working out alone and I do it every week, but sometimes I work out with a friend or two to shake up the routine. Strength training can be fun with one other partner since they can encourage you to push yourself, but it gets tricky with cardio, especially if your partner(s) are at different fitness…
  • Avocados are the best! Definitely a great idea to keep them in your diet plan. I love it as guacamole with tonsss of lime and cilantro, as slices on top of wheat toast with a fried egg, or as a topping on an open faced sandwich or burger. Such a great food!

  • I work 9-6 with an hour lunch break; I always take a long walk during that break, at least 30-40 minutes. I'm not an early morning gym person, but I always go right after work for at least an hour. Definitely move around when you have a free moment.
  • Like others said, nutrition-wise, there's not much of a difference, the nutritional value in a 1/2c of rolled oats is roughly the same as 1/4c of steel cut oats. I found that steel cut oats are better for my overnight oats recipes since the rolled oats get soggy (I prep my meals ahead of time for the week). In terms of…
  • I'll be at 4 of those Spartan races :] My goal was to have my first Trifecta this year, but my friends kind of got me interested in more than 3 races, so I'll be headed straight for a Double Trifecta instead, haha. OP: I did the Krispy Kreme Challenge 8k back in February (you run 2.5 miles, eat 12 Krispy Kreme donuts, run…
  • Oooh, this sounds like a great idea! Need to try this next time I make burgers. For OP: I make my burgers with lean ground beef (seasoned with salt/pepper/paprika), gouda or havarti cheese, avocado, onion and spinach. Sometimes a fried egg and/or bacon for extra protein. I used to love brioche buns (and just eat half of…
  • Oh hey, people play dancing games, yay! I play ITG as opposed to DDR. I started off playing DDR 9 years ago with a metal pad in my house, but within the past 5 years my love has been with ITG. My roommate's boyfriend bought a machine a year ago, so I'm finally able to challenge myself and get better like I've wanted to for…
  • Hey there. I also play dancing games as my source of cardio. I play ITG [In the Groove] instead of DDR. Don't trust what the game tells you; it can't measure your heart rate, and most of the time it severely over estimates how many calories you really burn. I currently use a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor [with a chest…
  • I saw the infomercial for this not too long ago and was sold right away. I haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet, but I plan on it when I get my next paycheck. However, I live in a one bedroom apartment on the second floor with a not huge living room. Before I buy something like this, I was wondering, do I need a…
