Hey guys!! Anyone doing/ have done those awesome fun runs that pop up all over the place in the summer?

I'm planning on maybe doing the Spartan Race in June and maybe the Color Run.

I know last year there was a Bubble Run where they throw bubbles and foam and a Glow in the Dark/Blacklight Run and a bunch of other ones. These all seem like they'd be awesome!

Want to do a half in Nashville on April 30th. Haven't really signed up for any shorter races.

Music City Rock n Roll Half and maybe one or two Ragnars. . . (Chicago)

But the obstacle runs (Spartan, Tough Mudder, etc) or theme runs (Color, Chocolate, Zombie, etc) aren't my thing.

I did a Spartan Sprint 2 years ago, my first "event" after getting healthier. My older brother likes those and Tough Mudders so he convinced me to do it. Not really my thing. Now I stick to traditional races. My race schedule upcoming is:
Rock & Roll Half Marathon DC: ✔️
    Leesburg 20K
    Perfect 10 Miler
    Dulles Day 10K
    Veterans Day 5K

And I'm sure I'll find some other ones along the way too.

My wife and I just came back from Georgia Sprint on March 6 and have a busy schedule like yours that include similar locations (Tri State Beast, PA super, Ohio, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa, Vermont...)

Awesome! Have you guys been into OCR for awhile? Most people start with like one or two races on their schedule, and then year 2 is like over loaded lol. Located in the north east? I send you a friend request!

I'll be at 4 of those Spartan races :] My goal was to have my first Trifecta this year, but my friends kind of got me interested in more than 3 races, so I'll be headed straight for a Double Trifecta instead, haha.

OP: I did the Krispy Kreme Challenge 8k back in February (you run 2.5 miles, eat 12 Krispy Kreme donuts, run 2.5 miles back), but I only raced as a casual so I didn't have to eat donuts. It was a lot of fun! I have 7 Spartan races this year, really excited for my first one of the year in Charlotte in roughly a week! I did a Color Me Rad 5k a few years back, it was pretty fun, you'll be coughing and sneezing that color powder for a few days though, haha.

That's the way to do it!!! I sent you a friend request. Best of luck in Charlotte! Maybe I will run into you :)
