  • Great ideas! I also buy frozen chicken breast because we can make several meals out of them! The challenge is getting my kids yo eat healthy!
  • @ragegringer Good luck with your future race! Training is definitely required! As far as the stadium races, if it's missing the mud, fire, water, and craziness, you are missing out! I suggest doing the Super or a Sprint not in the stadium. I'm hoping to post some training tips on here!
  • Awesome! I know someone who just ran that race. He is actually in my challenge group. Spartan races are so addicting!
  • Feel free to add me! Have you ever considered P90X?
  • Thank you for sharing! I hope I can help you with setting you up to reach your goals. This is what I learned on my journey: Find Your Why Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.- Jim Rohn To be successful, you must find your "WHY." Your Why is the root of starting a new adventure or journey. If…
  • There is no way to predict your future measurements :( But, you should be doing a Fit Test and take new measurements every few weeks. This will help you see your progress, keep you motivated, and show you where you need to make adjustments in your program. You should not be looking to the scale for your progress. Why not?…
  • My favorite breakfast food is an egg white, brown rice, chicken or ham breakfast burrito. You will get the right amount of carbs, protein, and fats!
  • I am so glad to hear that you found your "Why" The Why will keep you motivated to keep going. I'm Dustin, a 35 yr old dad of two and happily married! Fad diets don't work. What you need is a real routine to push you to your goal. I love helping people reach their goals. I would love to help you become healthy and see you…
  • Feel free to add me. I'm hoping to build a strong team of people who will help each reach their goals! I love helping people and love fitness. My wife also has hypothyroidism, so I know the journey is difficult, but not impossible.
  • Feel free to add me. My hope is to build a strong team of people who help each other reach their goals. First you have to commit to yourself. Change the inside first, and then you will see the change on the outside.
  • Properly fueling your body for the activity you do is essential. I typically find that I under eat for the amount of exercise I do. As a result, I maintain or even gain a small amount of weight. I was able to lose 4 pounds without trying in the last week, simply because I started to eat more. My abs are slowly coming…
  • Hi. Being new to this can be overwhelming. When you enter your height and weight and your fitness level into MFP, it should provide your daily caloric intake. You can either enter in all the food you are going to eat at one time or as you go. What are you doing for workouts? Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Hi! Feel free to add me! I'm hoping to gain friends who will support each other and keep each other accountable. I have two wonderful kids and everyone wants a piece of my time and energy. It's hard trying to find the time to workout, but it's totally worth it. Lead by example.

  • Of course wheat and brown rice are carbs. Carbs are not bad. Carbs are strains of sugar (fructose, glucose, galactose, etc.) Refined carbs are the problem. Natural carbs are designed to work with your body, plus they are loaded with vitamins and minerals. Refined carbs are stripped of their vitamins and minerals leaving…
  • I have a few amazing recipes for protein shakes if you are interested.
  • My diet plan is simple. Did God make or did people make it? Taking a closer look at it, your diet should include proteins, vegetables, nuts/seeds, and some fruit as a sweet treat. When it comes to processed foods I look at the ingredients. If I can pronounce it, I don't eat it. Proteins, nuts, and seeds contain the vital…
  • When choosing a protein powder it's important to look at the ingredient labeling. More specifically, look at the total grams and compare them to the total grams of protein in a serving size. For example: total grams per serving is 50 and the total protein grams are 20. This will tell you there are 30 grams of fillers per…
  • Thanks for the advice. I usually will take a protein shake after the workout. I do stretch and when I can I will use a form roller. I'm considering an ice bath. Have you had experience with an ice bath after a workout?
