Too many people assume "cardio" is hanging out on a treadmill for however long. That can be boring. Be in the outdoors doing cardio activities is not boring at all in my opinion.

It depends, are you getting enough protein and carbs in your diet? If the answer is yes, then no, it doesn't really matter if you go over your fat goal if your calorie count lands where you want it to.

HRMs are for training purposes. The calorie burn estimate is just a marketing strategy, nothing more. Way to inconsistent to be all that meaningful.

1. Again, CICO is not a tool. Calorie counting is a tool. Calorie counting and CICO are not the same thing at all. 2. Not a single person has ever tried to say that CICO explains why people overeat. That's not what it is or what it is supposed to be at all.

As a 39 year old who got pretty lean, skin took forever to tighten up and will probably never be how I want it around the midsection. It sucks, but it is what it is...

Just remember, opinions are opinions and facts are facts. The problem arises when one's opinion tries to refute a fact as wrong. That's just not possible and will be called out (thankfully) by most of the "know it alls".

Whether it's realistic long term would vary by individual. Realistic long term for me? No. For @nvmomketo it seems to be though. It has it's place for medical conditions, that's for sure, but it is a fad diet in the overall scheme of things.

It's not really a hot button issue. It's just a fact that 0 calorie drinks won't inhibit your weight loss if all else remains the same... Beliefs have nothing to do with it.
