It's easier for me to stop at one serving than it is to think I can never have chocolate, brownies, donuts, ice cream, etc. again.

I'll just leave this here: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/weight-loss/competitive-eating

ZR always seemed a bit off for me - not quite THAT off - so I use it for the story, and Runkeeper separately for the GPS.

OP, you're 20 years old. Your body is still growing it's own hips and butt. If you want to do something to make more curves, lift heavy things.

Of course he was. He cannot lie.

I don't really care whether or not there's a greater caloric need, but if a little bit of chocolate is the difference between me feeling sane or psychotic, I'll gladly lose a little less weight that week.

I'm about the same age and height, and I've been losing at 1500 plus exercise calories. I'm sure I could lose a little faster if I ate less, but I'd rather have more energy and go a little slower. I just bumped it up to 1600 this week, since I'm closer to my goal.

For me, I'd consider eating all the brownies (just to use brownies as an example) once in a great while to be fine. Eating all the brownies all the time would be a self-control issue. Personal failing? I'm not sure I'd call it that. But I would bet if I wanted to eat all the brownies all the time, there'd be a lot of other…

This is how I feel. I've picked up a few medals in races, but I do them for the charity and to spend time with my family members who also run. I run for personal sanity, cardio health, the ability to eat more, and the enjoyment of just moving the body. When I was running with a goal to win something or make a new PR, it…

This. I run and lift on alternate days, but if I were doing both on the same day, I'd rather lift first. I can seriously hurt myself if I'm lifting when I'm worn out. If I run when I'm already tired, I'll just run slower.

I run outside and lift at home. I started with an inexpensive bench and barbell set and added more as I needed it. I hated wasting time driving to and from the gym. I love that I can fit in a workout without spending almost an extra hour on the commute. No waiting for others to finish a set, no worrying that someone else…

Measurements are a great way to track progress, but sometimes we don't lose, or lose as much, from the places we measure. That's why I like progress photos. I didn't lose much from my waist or hips, but in photos, I can see that I lost that smooshy back fat near my bra band.

Make sure you're putting your weight back on your heels, not on the toes or front of your feet. My quads above my knees KILLED me until I started shifting my weight back. Try pointing your toes up inside your shoes while you're lifting.

A baked potato could be a meal, if it's loaded with cheese and bacon and diced tomatoes and chives. Just a potato... not so much. I have a baked potato several times a week with my meal. I top it with ranch dressing.

I'm happiest if I buy ice cream sandwiches. I can eat one sandwich, at about 150 calories or less, and be perfectly satisfied. If I put 150 calories of ice cream in a bowl or cup, it looks tiny and pathetic.

If I'm throwing up sick, I don't bother to log anything. Make a note in your food diary and rest up.

I just wear my normal underwear (which is usually cotton bikinis) and don't have any issues beyond a sweaty bum. But I do love the shorts with the built in dry-weave panties if it's fairly warm out. Gets a nice breeze on places that rarely feel a breeze. :hushed:

I don't log on weekends or holidays. And sometimes I take a random week off from logging. I get a little too OCD about things, and taking a break from it works for me. When I first started, I logged everything. All the time. Then I went to a bachelorette party, exercised in the morning, pre-logged what I knew I'd eat, and…

The Wegman's jalapeno cheddar bagels I get are (supposedly) 300 calories with 14g protein per 4 oz. bagel. Most of them are actually between 4.3 and 4.5 oz, so they end up being about 330-350 each. I don't think that's a high calorie breakfast. They don't need any cream cheese. I just pop them in the microwave for about 20…

I eat a cheesy jalapeno bagel for breakfast just about every morning. Fits in my day just fine, not hurting my progress at all.

My niece gets migraines if she has artificial sweeteners, even if she doesn't know she had them. (She didn't know Pepsi Max was a diet soda.) I have no doubt some people are sensitive to them. I'm happy I'm not one of them. I break out if I use Ivory soap. I'd never suggest no one should use Ivory soap. I think of…

I'd feel safer in my own neighborhood than a park. People expect joggers in a park. I like to run on very isolated trails. I feel perfectly safe there because there's never anyone around, and I don't run on any predictable schedule. No crazy person is going to hang out behind a tree with chloroform and rope on the…

Dressing room lighting is teh devil! I took these pics hours apart.

Aw, hell... I can't even get Saran Wrap off the roll and onto my leftovers, and I'm supposed to be able to wrap my body in it?

For me, it's not so much eat whatever I want, but want and really enjoy what I eat. If I only ate whatever I wanted, I'd eat appetizers and desserts all the time. I never really think, "I could really go for broccoli right now." I don't dislike broccoli. With a meal, I have no problem eating it. But I've never craved it.…

I don't necessarily want positive feedback. I want information that's going to help me reach my goals. If I'm doing something stupid, I want to be told.

I love this. :) I was the same way. The only time I ran in high school was when I had to make up skipped gym classes. I think it was two miles on the track for each class. I had a lot to make up, so I had to run some of it. It still boggles my mind when I wake up early on a weekend to pay money to run a race. Who am I?!

Are you only eating 1200, or 1200 plus exercise calories?

That's what I do. If it's really important to you, I think there's an entry in the food diary for Chinese Buffet by the plate. It's going to be a guess, but it's all going to be a guess. As long as it's not something you do every day, it's not going to be an issue.
