55 here and I'm in better shape than I have been in years. This app and my friends on here is what keeps me motivated. I've lost 43 pounds so far and not looking back. Feel free to add me.

I'm doing keto as well. Except yesterday - I was following the taco and beer diet. Back to keto today though.

I think that I've finally overcome my biggest two, self sabotage and alcohol. I've realized that alcohol doesn't fit into my diet plan so I've almost completely cut it out. And when the scale is down a few pounds, it doesn't mean that "hey this is easy, I deserve a treat this weekend" only to have to start all over again…

55 here. I sent a request.

I'm in NY - upstate - way upstate - near Canada.

You can do it. Set mini goals and stick with it.

The more carbs I eat, the more I want. Protein and fat keep me full longer, my cravings are gone, I don't get bloated or retain water weight and I've lost almost 13 pounds in a month staying within my calorie range and exercising. It's not for everyone, but it's working for me.

I haven't really posted here much. I've really started to push for my weight loss goals before the holidays, joined a gym, and have adopted a Keto WOE which has been working well for me. Are there any other Keto plan followers? Feel free to add me.

Welcome back and good luck.

On a 1500 cal diet drop your carbs to 5% and that will be 20g.

I'm very active here as well. I'm following a Keto eating plan which is working very well so far. I cross country ski in the winter and love to kayak and hike in the summer as well. Good luck with your journey. I'll send you a friend request and if you want to chat, shoot me a message. I live in very upstate NY just below…

Hi Mike. I'll send you a friend request. I'm 55 and I've finally gotten back on track. Not at all a vegan since I'm following a keto plan but hopefully we can put those differences aside? Good luck on your journey!

55 here with 30 or so pounds to go. I just joined the gym to build muscle and tone along the way.

I've been back to low carb for a month now, and am transitioning to keto.
-
I've been low carb since before the holidays and I'm trying to transition to Keto. I just set up my macros on here and started tracking yesterday. I think that my biggest challenge will be keeping my protein in check since with low carb I've been having lean protein more than Keto calls for.

I had my daughter hide the scale because I was weighing every day. I don't get it back until Feb 1st. I'm eating right and feeling good, have lots of energy, and hitting the gym to use the weights. My clothes fit better, my rings now fit again, and my belly is vanishing so those are the milestones to focus on.

I work remotely as a commercial insurance account rep. No office drama here.

I think that the first person that did that would find out that this fat girl has a sharp tongue, a bad attitude toward ignorance, and little patience. Especially from a boyfriend or husband. I can also pack a suitcase pretty quickly (his/not mine).

Stick with it. Three weeks isn't enough time to think about quitting. Add good friends for support. Don't overwhelm yourself - start by logging all of your foods until that becomes habit, and then expand your efforts from there. A five pound loss in three weeks is actually pretty good, so you have proved that you can do it.

I'm in. Request sent.

Hello, everyone. I'm Tammy and I am 54. I've lost about 20 pounds since coming back to the community in January, but I've lost my momentum recently and stalled. My goals for March are to get back on track logging my meals, and increase my exercise. I have a fitbit, and I'm challenging myself, beginning today, to meet a…

I have about 30 to go. I've lost almost 20 so far. Friend request being sent.

Give it time to work. Your body needs time to adjust to your new eating pattern. If possible try to stay low carb for a few days to shed some water weight. Stay away from "diet" foods, processed, and canned foods - they are loaded with salt. Add friends and let them view your food diary for good tips and motivation. Relax…

Mine is open, and anyone can feel free to add me. Just forgive my quirky eating habits - I've been know to make super spicy chicken and veggies for breakfast. It revs me up for the day!

Everyone loses at a different pace - don't compare yourself to anyone else. Find what works for YOU, learn from your daily progress and shortfalls. Review, adjust, and tweek as necessary. You are doing just fine. This is a long journey, so don't get discouraged. Patience and Persistence will be your key. Good luck!! You…

54 Here. I came back after a few years out in which I managed to gain 25 pounds. Down 15 now and I'm planning on sticking with it until I hit my goal, and after. I'm a Fitbit user as well and I'm participating in my second DietBet which ends on Monday. Feel free to add me.
