  • Hey all! And I sent you a friend request. I've been a vegetarian for almost 3 years (in January). and i"d love to know your workout regimen.
  • @satya..that sounds very tasty and it's obviously made with lots of love and special attention. way to go!
  • Almost every work day, I get tons of sauteed veggies (bell peppers/onions/mushrooms/spinach/tomatoes) over a piece of rye toast, sometimes add a slice of cheese. Its very good and flavorful!
  • Lol! I feel you! I just went thru the same frustration :grumble: But MFP family encouraged me, so you're definitely in the right place. And one pound is just a pound, the scale will probably move in the opposite direction tomorrow! Either way, keep at it, you'll reach your goal soon enough
  • that's really wonderful!! So far, no real NSV for me, and only a few lbs lost. But I'm sure they will come soon!
  • great post! and kudos to you and your 30 lb loss!!
  • I agree with the other posters. Sometimes people are afraid to offend you if they say "wow, you look great! you lost weight?" or something to that effect. But eventually, people will start to notice. I think after about 10 lbs (I used to be 180something) people would ask me have I been losing weight , saying they could see…
  • that is horrible. And like most other posters have said, they are just jealous and wish they had what it takes to get themselves in order. You look beautiful. And congrats on the weight loss!!
  • I may as well give it a try. I was hesitant about joining the weight loss challenge at my job. But with nothing to lose, except weight! And confidence and more health to gain, count me in:smile:
  • Hey all. i do believe my drinking habit is my biggest culprit in not losing weight. I've been telling myself I would stop drinking for the longest. But like another posted said...I'm saying this while sitting here sipping something as i type. Bad, huh?
  • My weight problems didn't really kick in until after I had my first child in 1999. Before thin, I was always kind of thin. Could eat anything I wanted pretty much. But when I delivered I was 180lbs. It took me a while to lose the weight, and when I finally did, I became pregnant with my son in 2002. I've been a size 12-14…
  • congrats on your success! I am also in a wedding that weekend. Unfortunately I have no scales at home, but when I get off work I will buy me one. then I can start keeping track of my weight. And feel free to friend me as well. We're all up against the same wedding deadline :o)
  • That is really wonderful news. I'm happy for you! Yes, losing weight isn't about being skinny or simply losing it for the fun of it. Our weight really does affect our health in so many ways. So kudos to you for taking control of your BP! I sure hope to post similar success stories in the future, myself.
  • Good afternoon everyone! I am new to this site as well. I live in Michigan and I have 2 children. 11 and 9 yrs old. I'm ready to finally lose some weight. and I'm looking forward to the support I am sure to receive with the MFP fam and vice versa. I weigh 170lbs and am looking to be 150lbs again. Wish me luck!
  • congrats on meeting your goal! And don't be disappointed. Like others have said, reward yourself. You deserve it! I'm sure hubby is proud of you as well. And remember, he is at work.
