Dang, that sounds good! I could use a jug of that right about now!

You won't have gained back much fat - you'd have to eat a couple of buckets of kfc and lots of cider to put on a pound of fat - but all the sodium will make you retain water. Be prepared for your weight to be up for a couple of days due to water retention. Drink lots of water to flush out the sodium and you'll be back on…

It's great that you've been exercising and that does have great health benefits but unless you start making changes to your diet you won't ever get a handle on your weight. Not to say that you have to go crazy with it, but you do have to start cutting back. I have cut back slowly cuz dropping to 1200 calories was…

YAY! Good for you! It feels so good to meet those milestones - really motivating to keep going!

My understanding is that the more weight you have to lose, the higher your calorie deficit can be, so you are probably okay at 1600. I'd say your best bet is to try it out for a week or two and see if you're losing weight and feeling good. If not, make adjustments. Don't forget to drink lots of water. Good Luck! And if you…

Really, no flour in them? 6 pancakes for 111 calories sounds great! I'll probably stuff myself just knowing they are so low cal!

Likely water retention, either from lots of sodium, not drinking enough water or good old pms. Drink lots of water for the next couple of days and watch your sodium and I bet most of it will go away. Don't forget that it takes 3500 EXTRA calories to gain a pound, so I really really really doubt that you've actually gained…

Yup, I'd have to agree that you're probably not eating enough. Your body probably thinks its starving so its saving up fat rather than releasing it. Go up to at least 1200 calories for a week or two and if that doesn't help, keep raising it and see how you respond.
-
EXCELLENT! Good for you!

If you're very busy/active, you might not be eating enough. Lots of people start losing again by raising their calories. It might be worth a try, especially if you're eating less than the mfp recommendations (assuming all your settings are correct). Also, try drinking more water if you're not already. Good Luck :0)

She's probably envious that you are doing something about it and she isn't (or feels she can't). She might also think your diet is getting more attention than her so she could be jealous of that and want your time and attention. Whatever happens, be kind. I've learned that you really have to be ready to do something about…

Just guessing here but I'd think a real bike might be a slightly better workout because you are having to keep your balance so you're using your arms & core muscles a little bit. But really, I think whichever you enjoy more and are more likely to DO is what really matters. Great progress by the way - keep on rockin it!

That's great! I have to restrict my movie outings to cheat days cuz I MUST HAVE popcorn when I'm there, so I don't go that often anymore. Good for you!

Hey, that sounds just like every other diet I've tried! :0) Actually, I'm serious - as soon as I told myself I was 'dieting' I was so hungry constantly that there was no chance of sticking with it. Then I recently read about 'famine brain' in a book, which is basically your head messing you up and telling you that you have…

Also tell her that it's fun to post stuff to your friends and cheer people on and you'd like to be able to message her and have her share in your successes and trials to help YOU along. Hopefully she'll just kinda catch the fever and join in too.

I set mine at 2 pounds and kept going over my 1200 calories. Shocker, right, considering I love food and probably used to eat 2500 calories a day. I realized after 'failing' for a couple of weeks that this was stupid and unrealistic so I set it at maintenance for a week (1850 calories) to get used to eating less and to…

Cool. Amazing what we can accomplish when we feel good about ourselves and comfortable in our own bodies!!!!

Are you sure you're really in love with him (cuz I personally don't think you can REALLY love someone you've never met but that's just my opinion) OR are you in love with the attention and support you get from him surrounding your lifestyle change? (I assume you're making lifestyle changes or you wouldn't be on this site.)…

Oh just GO FOR IT! If you haven't done this for 2 months YOU DESERVE IT! Especially with all the extra working out you're doing. Just tell yourself that you're allowed and entitled to indulge yourself once in a while because it's your LIFE and you need to LIVE it! And remember, it takes an EXTRA 3500 calories to gain a…

I agree - Have Fun! Don't stress over it too much. Eat whatever you want in moderation. Yes, even the cake! One piece isn't going to make or break you. In the long run, even if you pig out and eat 2000 calories in one meal, it's not going to matter. What does matter is feeling confident and proud of what you've…

Keeping track of EVERYTHING you eat is a big help - you become very aware of how the calories add up and where they hide. I'd suggest starting out with making small changes one at a time if a major overhaul seems like too much. I started out just eating more veggies, then having slightly smaller portions of other things,…

I've found that a couple of days after a good 'cheat day' I do tend to drop weight. It's weird but I LOVE IT! I've heard a couple of other people mention the same thing. I think it must kick up your metabolism or something. Frankly I don't care how it works, I just love that it does cuz it gives me another reason to feel…

I don't know but I just wanted to say HI to another Alberta gal - I'm in Red Deer!

OMG that sounds good! As soon as I read it I looked at the clock to see if all the grocery stores are already closed so I could have some NOW! It's too late though, so I'll be picking up the fixins tomorrow! Thanks!
-
Yay! That's awesome! And good for you for skipping the tots!

I agree that you deserve some attention & to feel good after all your hard work. And I agree that she *might* also be jealous. But I have one other thought too... I know I'm kind of obsessed about food and exercise and how well I'm doing lately. It's all I talk about to my husband and I'm sure he must get SO sick of it…

Your calories are too low to start with. And if you're doing all that exercise you'll need to be eating a LOT more than that to fuel your body. You're going to completely burn yourself out at this rate. Also, eating more regularly might help with the bingeing (I assume you binge when you're hungry?). I'd suggest starting…

OMG - You are amazing! Good for you! Your dedication and commitment are inspiring!

LMAO! Yup, that says it all! I tried 30 Day Shred a while back and around my house it's called Satan's 20 Minutes cuz she's efficient but evil!

ME TOO! ME TOO! The ugly name matches the sadistic evil things they are!
