This app was an eye opener for me. Before MFP, I never thought much about the calories I was consuming. My motivation here has increased since making a few friends and joining a MFP group that fit my goals and lifestyle.

One of the great success stories of MFP, thank you so much for sharing it with us! Do you happen to have a recipe book for the items you listed within this thread? I really hope the answer is yes, as all the food looks amazing, healthy, and the presentation is spectacular.

I bicycled 15.88 miles today. Later this afternoon, I surprised my wife with a picnic at the top of Klondike Park. Beautiful spot to take in the surrounding countryside.

It's been a little over a week since I started periodically using an exercise ball as a desk chair and I can already tell it is strengthening my lower back, as I feel muscle twinges from time to time. Strengthening my lower back will be great for bicycling.

No matter how good the advise, it was inappropriate and unprofessional for the doctor to do so in the manner you described, I am sorry you had to experience this type of treatment. On a positive note, it's great to hear that you decided to take action towards leading a healthier lifestyle.

At first, I thought it was rather motivational, but agree it would be more beneficial if it were accurate. I'm not sure the developers could come up with an accurate algorithm as there are so many variables. MFP has the same problem with calories burned. I work from home and am at my desk between 9-11 hours a day. I just recently bought a Varidesk, which allows me to quickly and easily work standing up or sitting down. Weather was stormy here today, so I did 4 miles on the elliptical and started a beginner weight training session, based on a YouTube video NikonPal posted in another thread here.
