If I had to stay around 2,300 mg of sodium I'd probably have to cut out my turkey and chicken breast from the deli, any type of soup from a can (which I use sometimes at work), many salad dressings, many nuts, etc, etc. I know it's possible but there is a tradeoff - I guess monitoring HBP, sodium levels in your bloodwork,…

Good luck and I hope it works well for you! As others have said use the opportunity to learn while you lose so when the program ends you don't go back to the lifestyle that caused you (and me!) to end up overweight!

Ugggggh Glassyo - I used the wrong code the first order. Luckily It was only on 1 box and at least I got the free shipping. So I had to go back in and order a couple more mixed boxes with the cyberus code!

I love them - some flavors more than others, but I don't think any are horrible. I have at least 1 a day except when I run out. High fiber, high protein, reasonable fat, low sugar. So many other bars are high in sugar. I buy an assortment on Amazon and I consider them a daily treat.

Hi Mac - I know one thing we discussed in our group meeting was to keep a list of reasons why we want to lose weight/get healthy with us so we can look at it whenever we have the urge to go off track. I also keep a "before" picture and my old medicine vials around so I can look at it when I start to think about whether…

Hi - Quick update. 17 weeks in and I broke the 100lb mark! Transition to full food continues - now doing 1 shake and 3 meals a day. I am going to try to upload before and after pics - we'll see if I'm successful! The first is from June 2014. The second is from last weekend. Continued best wishes to everyone on their weight…

Thanks Christy and congrats to you too! I enjoy reading your posts and also your blog. I was just reading your "Tipsy Grazing" entry and I have a feeling a couple of drinks will have a similar effect on me! Good stuff...

Hi Fellow Optifasters, A quick update. I just finished week 13 of the full fast (5 shakes per day) and my total weight loss is 83.4 lbs (from 330.8 on June 24th to 247.4 yesterday). This is my last week of all shakes - next week I will transition to "modified" which in my program is 1 lean meal and 3 shakes per day. Then…

On the program I'm on if you're over 300 lbs you have 6 shakes a day. Each regular shake has 160 calories, 16g Protein, 3g Fat, and 20g Carbs. So if over 300 lbs for a day that would equal 960 Calories, 96g Protein, 18g Fat, and 120g Carbs. Under 300 lbs is 5 shakes a day, so the total would be 800 calories, 80g Protein,…

Hi Everyone, I've been reading this forum for awhile and thought it was now time to write. I just completed my 9th week on Optifast (Started 6/24/14) and I've lost a total of 61.2 pounds, going from 330.8 to 269.6. I am on the full fast program and plan on staying on it for at least another 4-5 weeks before transitioning…
