Thank you all so much for your comments and advice. After doing this for seven years and losing five stone (from 15st to now 10st 3lb) I should be able to do this without worrying so much about everything but that's easier said than done!

Thank you all. I've been on mfp for seven years now and maintained at my goal weight for the last year (losing and gaining the same 4lb for the last year)and lose almost 5stone in total. But, tbh, it's ruling my life but I generally can't not log yet i have days (or weeks in this case) where I just need a break from it all…

Thanks for replying. Good to know I'm not going mad! I've been on mfp and for seven years and maintained for the last year. I'm just tired of it all which is a shame as I don't want to be.

Yup, I was (and still am to a degree despite losing 65lb). I use those feelings as motivation to kick my own butt. Everyone at the gym is there for the same reason, the only person judging you is yourself. Awesome advice everyone, thank you. I’ve set my goal to lose 0.5lb a week and that’s given me a calorie count of 1640. I’ve set my macros at 40 carbs 30 protein and 30 fat. Will give it a go starting Thursday x

Thanks all. SW appealed to me because I can have more carbs and not have to weigh anything (within reason). I want to tone up and just look bloody amazing tbh lol. In an ideal world, what should I set my macros to? I’m 34, 5’6” and weigh 140.2lb.

I have off plan days on Wednesdays, it's the obly way I can stay on track the rest of the week

I weigh every Wednesday, although I sometimes weigh on a Sunday too just to keep myself on track over the weekend. I generally lose 1lb a week. Anyone have any suggestions other than tightening up on my logging? TBH I'm pretty hot on weighing everything anyway. Is maintenance 2000? That's quite a jump from 1200, I'll probably end up gaining more.

4lb makes a difference to me mentally, maybe not physically but if I don't mentally get in the zone to hit the target I have set I will just keep going backwards and will be back where I started.
