Same boat - but mainly because I added weight training. I just keep water around 150 oz per day and double the fibrous veggies. HTH

YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! God is powerful, and what we can't see, He will reveal it to us. I am so happy for you. Continue to be blessed!

I am with you. I am ditching it til the new year, only taking my measurements and body fat. Why? Because I can't believe that at 290 lbs, the scale is stuck. *SIGH*

My husband is very supportive about my weight loss...NOW. I asked why he didn't care much months ago when I started. He said because trying to lose weight is a constant yo-yo with me. He simply didn't think I was serious this time. Now that he is seeing results and I am sticking to it, he is doing everything to help. Maybe…

I trust my HRM enough (Sportline from Walmart) to eat only a portion of my exercise calories back if I am hungry. I totally trust the food calculator though

Houston, Texas and it is HOT here! We seem to be slowly recovering from a drought. I am originally from NJ though; been here for 5 years next month. I am an accountant (BORING)!

Let me ask you this. How much do you weigh? And how much are you trying to lose? From what you are saying, you may be undereating a bit.

Congratulations! You look awesome!

I had the same issue. I was eating what I was told was maintenance and burning calories from there. I lost a little, and then gained. Now I am losing again, but only after finding out my lean body mass number. Now my adjusted sedentary BMR, or TDEE, is 1,916 calories. MFP originally calculated it to be 2,580 calories.…

Oh yeah - and it's TV!!! A week is not a week. None of these people are dealing with real life while on this ranch, and so on. Don't try it at home and take it for what it is.

I think they load up on food before the first weigh-in, which adds probably up to 10 lbs. Factor in his sex, current weight (over 400 lbs), water weight, BL calorie deficit, and the metabolic shift, it's believable I guess. But it's still very hard for me to watch BL when I am cleaning up my own eating. I always feel the…

I used to have them 1-2x per week, but that stalled my weight loss, of course. Now, I don't plan them. I stick to my 5 meals per day, and if I am out and I want something, I only have an oz or 2 of whatever it is, stay under calories, and ensure I have a group to share it with. I tried that for the first time this past…

Count me in!!! 289.5 as of 9/20/11

Congratulations! That was so sweet of your bf, I mean fiance.

Agreed. Splurging on your cals like that should not be the norm. After you clean up your diet, I would eat my clean foods prior to going out, and nibble here and there. If you track your cals all day, you can pick and choose if you want to use your calorie balance on the bad stuff. GOOD LUCK and HTH.

Cheat days for me stalled the scale, because my cheat day became a cheat weekend, week, month...you get the picture. Now, if I know I will be out and about, I try to start with a nutritious breakfast, keep moving, and plan on 5-6 meals per day to curb hunger and temptation. For instance, today I started with fruit and nut…

I was on WW for a couple of months earlier this year. I lost a couple of lbs and then that was it. I came back to MFP to look at my macronutrients and my actual calories in and out. I have so much weight to lose that my daily calories were overstated on WW. So I came back here to keep a closer eye on my eating.

DANNNNNG!!! Nice work - wonderful transformation!

I have had the BFFM book since January of this year. I pulled it out again and just started it on yesterday. I had the best weight training workout last night. My trainer was blown away. I had so much energy that I spent 12 mins warming up on the treadmill at the gym before I even saw my trainer at the studio. I love it. I…

Almost made it yesterday: 913 burned, 120 oz water But today is a new day! 72 oz today so far

I used to weigh in weekly, but now I do it the last day of the month. Weekly weigh-ins were too discouraging for me.
-
Congratulations!!! Keep up the great work. Thank you for the inspiration.

Welcome to MFP! Best of luck to you!

I agree. Try zig-zagging, adding more water, weight training, switching up your exercise, and trading carbs for protein and (healthy) fat. Move away from processed foods to whole foods. Be sure to track sodium and take a multivitamin and fish oil. Do you know your body fat %? Sometimes, the MFP calculator can be off on…

Play with this until you find what works. Understand that you will have days where you will need a break from it all. Set small goals, and try to master 1 thing at a time. Many people can't cut calories, give up soda, hit the gym, and log each and every bite of food they eat all at once and stick to it all. So phase the…

This is my 5th time here on MFP, but this time is VERY different. This is the first time I have consistently logged my food, made friends, and exercised several times per week. The first 4 times, I was trying to lose it for 1 reason or another - an event, an outfit, etc. Now I am losing it because it is the best thing for…

Hey Hottie! Look at you! Great progress...

That's amazing progress!!! Good for you.

Honey, do you. I have done everything from alternating the foot I use to step on the scale, breathing differently, and leaving the door open or closed (air weighs something you know) . So I am sure we all have a little (a lot) of OCD in us.
