I had some peppered turkey and a string cheese with Special K cracker chips, sugar snap peas, carrots and avocado. Super yummy and satisfying.

My first goal size was a 10! I made that and think I can go lower to an 8 but I'm happy at a 10. I'm 5'7" and weigh 160 lbs and couldn't be happier. I think as my body composition changes and I tone up I will go down to an 8 but we'll see. Either way I'm down to a 10 from a size 20 and starting weight of 243 lbs.

I'd like to join. Sounds like fun!

Wow! Good job and way to go. You have come so far in such a short time.

Great information and thanks for sharing. I have been overweight my whole life and so have no idea what my final weight range will be. I started at 243 lbs last December and am down to 161 lbs. Right now I'm aiming for a size 10 which on my 5'7" non-petite frame should be about 155 lbs. I'd like for my body to be tighter…

Congratulations! You look fantastic.

Honestly I don't know that I'll miss being overweight as much as I'll miss being thoughtless about my health. I love the way I feel and look now so there is no way I'll go back but I will miss being able to push reality away and pretend what I'm doing is ok or doesn't matter.

I think start with watching your diet, cut the calories so that your body will shed some weight without increased activity. At the same time keep at it to get back on the crutches, even the slight increase in activity will help your muscles grow and burn more calories. Good luck and please don't hurt yourself.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I'll try switching up my workouts and see if that helps. I have two workout videos I haven't tried yet so I think I'll start one up after work today.

You may have gained a little weight and you could be retaining water. That can happen during weight training. Stick with it and see how you do next week. It should come off and boost your weight loss as well.

I've had some of those days where you just want to eat what is available and I"ve gone over my calories on multiple days in a row. The only way I've found of getting rid of the guilt and continuing is to simply forget about it. I pretend it didn't happen and continue on with my tracking and exercising like those days were…

Thanks for all the great advice. After this first week I may try one of the other videos I picked up. We'll see how it goes.

I have reached the last hole in my belt. Guess it's time to buy a smaller one.

Great job! Keep it up.

Welcome to MFP. I'm sure you will meet and exceed your goal!

Keep with your goal no matter what he says. If he continues to belittle your journey then you should definitely call him on it but take it as a momentary lapse of judgement and move on. He obviously loves you as you are or he wouldn't be marrying you. He'll love you even more when he sees how happy and confident you are at…

I love Yoga but use is mostly for increasing my flexibiltiy and relaxing. I'd suggest doing some cardio and weights to add to the calorie burn and help you build the muscles you need to keep the weight off. You might also try Pilates. I just started a class and found it to be more intense then Yoga but just as enjoyable.…

You should really try to determine how many calories you are eating each day. Depending on your current weight you may want to reduce your intake and increase your exercise until the weight is gone. There are websites that can help you determine your BMR (number of calories your body needs to function) and then how many…

Good luck on your weight loss and welcome!

You look great! Great job and congratulations on making it half way to your goal.

Don't give in! Have a handful of grapes or a yogurt to curb the sugar craving. Remember, you are getting healthy so that you can be a better you and be a great role model for your daughter. You'll make it.

For me it was realizing I was a size 20 weighed 245 lbs and was starting to get high blood pressure at 28! I'd been able to ignore the pictures and let myself think I wasn't that big...basically lying to myself. Now after loosing almost 70 lbs, I look back and am sad at all the things I missed out on because I didn't take…

I couldn't agree with you more. My husband and I decided to get healthy this year and change our lifestyle. It's been tough battle (I'm down 68 lbs and my husband is down about 75 lbs.) but we are both enjoying life a lot more now. Keep up the good work everyone!
