Busy weekend of gardening and hiking for me. My daily step count is up and I'm focusing on breaking up my sitting at work.

Thank you for posting the videos. Great information to back up why I need to move more on a regular basis!

My goal is to lose weight over the next year so I'm glad I found this group. Starting weight: 227.5 (Nov 2017) Goal weight for end of 2018: 180 Current weight: 209 Total weight lost: 18.5 This week's successes: Getting back on track with tracking my food This week's challenges: 5K on Saturday!

My GOOD change is to make my body a priority not an afterthought. By tracking my food and exercise again I will make good choices for my health and regain the healthy consciousness i lost last year.

I think it's normal to worry about what you eat during weight loss and it may be a phase since you haven't experienced the feelings before. I think you may want to note those feelings in your food journal just to get them out in the open and see if they go away on their own. If they don't go away or get worse, you should…

I finally got my first mile + in yesterday. Hopefully 3 more today.

I need to get back into running and I think this will be a great way to do that.

I would suggest getting fitted for proper shoes and insoles before you get a knee brace.

It's most likely just loose skin. I lost about 90 lbs 3 years ago and and still fighting to tighten that skin but it does get tighter as time passes. Your skin doesn't change as rapidly as you can lose weight.

1. Log all your food and drinks, even water, everyday 2. Exercise, pick something you like or can stand doing and do it at least 3-4 times a week. 3. Get a support system, people you can go to with your problems and successes that are there for you and encourage you 4. Reward yourself for reaching your goals, whatever they…

When I had to start taking high blood pressure medication and couldn't climb a flight of stairs without being too winded to talk.

You have a very busy schedule but I think you can carve out a few minutes. Would you be able to get up about 30 minutes earlier everyday? You could do a workout video like 30 day shred or run or walk before you shower, etc. On the days your daughter has soccer practice you could run/walk around the field while she is…

Good luck to you on your journey. I'm glad you are trying to get a handle on the yo-yo dieting and make a more sustainable future. I think at your weight a goal of 1100-1200 a day should be okay as you lose the extra weight. I hope all goes well for you and you are able to find a place weight wise and calories/day wise…

My suggestion is to go with a balanced limited calorie diet of 1200 calories plus exercise. It's what this site is based off of and it works! Good luck to you on your journey.

Don't let it get you down. My husband and I both lost weight this year and of course he lost his way quicker but remember he has to work just as hard as you to keep it off. Men just lose weight faster/easier than women it's something we just have to accept.

For cardio I like the Black Eyed Peas "Elephunk" and for hardcore strength workouts I like Rammstein (really any of their albums will do).
-
I really like sugar snap peas, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes and red/yellow/orange bell peppers.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I'll try the protein shakes and the Spanx, couldn't hurt right?

Drink lots of water and try to keep moving so the muscles don't get too stiff. That helps when I've started new exercises that my legs don't like. It will get better after a few days. Maybe take some pain killers if its too bad.

Since you've already lost 20 lbs with diet change I think you will have to up the exercise. That is really the only way to get the pounds off quickly. If you want to lose the weight you have to do the exercise.

My husband and I recently stopped drinking diet soda as well. We drink water or iced tea if you need some flavor. We were talking to some people in our weight loss support group and many of them are older. They were telling us that when they were younger soda (there was no diet at the time) was a rare treat, not an…

I wanted a change from level 2 yesterday so I did level 3. Wow was it harder than I thought it would be. Guess I should finish out level 2 before i jump into level 3.

Okay, I'm seriously behind the rest of you but I'm back on track now. Completed D4L2 today and it was okay. We'll see how the rest of the week goes and then next week on to level 3. Great job to all of you who are done or almost done.

Thanks everyone. I never thought I'd be in a size 10 and now I've surpassed that with a size 8!
-
I'm also far behind in my 30 Day Shred and hope to get back on track tomorrow morning. I've been keeping up with my C25K though so at least I"m still exercising. You are all so great for getting this far!

I do both workout in the morning and in the afternoon. It mostly depends on the day and how I feel. The most important thing is to get in the exercise so if mornings work best do it then.

Congratulations!
