Don't get discouraged you're doing fine! You will get stalls like that for a week maybe two weeks even. Just keep on logging calories and make sure you are not missing any and you will lose over time.

Go to subway and have a salad, no cheese.
-
I have given up pasta as i can't control how much i eat, just want a huge plate of it ;( but now i have discovered spaghetti squash and i'm not sure i will ever go back to real spaghetti pasta now.

Yes you have to accurately log all your food so you can see where the problem areas are. A small scale that cost me 15 bucks tells so much on portions and such.
-
Be happy you've started the journey, good chance you won't see any loss until the second or third week.
-
How can you seriously eat no vegetables?
-
Keep things simple, add in one apple a day and your good to go!

I think patience is your biggest friend right now. I think your food intake is very good and it's just some people don't lose right away off the get go. My wife was in horror when i lost 20lbs in the first month and she lost nothing... then it all happened for her too.

You might want to read this :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convenience_food It's all about the salt content why we don't eat foods that we don't make ourselves. We do buy a black bean pasta but mostly use spaghetti squash instead. Some sauces we buy that can't be made but salad dressings we make. All greens are fresh. It's…

I had a two week stretch where the scale said i was up five pounds. In the same time frame i dropped 1.5" around my waist!

Lol holy you sure are upset about this, i am in the same boat of losing weight and my nutritionist tells me to avoid fast food at all costs... too much junk in it and not enough substance. Most of it is not even made here it is trucked in from far away. Now i could go and order a Big Mac and fries for 1000 calories or…

My wife is no chef! She is a manager of a restaurant/catering kitchen. I actually do most of the cooking at home. I have not criticized anyone here i am just very surprised at how many people eat fast food of some basis. Most people i know who are active and healthy avoid fast food, that's all.

Very little now, we maybe go out with a group every second month. My wife works in a higher end restaurant kitchen and the last thing she really wants is to spend time off in a restaurant. Which is fine by me we have a large kitchen at home and entertain friends frequently instead. We don't buy any convenience foods when…

Wow you are still going on about this... lol
-
Definitely before breakfast, i don't know anyone who can run after a meal.
-
No it's not just like when i make a comment on fast food it is no concern to you...

It's shocking to me because i just assumed most people lose weight because of health reasons or concerns but i guess it is just my old age showing here! :)
-
Well yes i realize that! I am just surprised at anyone who eats fast food on a regular basis. You lost weight for a holiday, why not do it for a healthy life instead? Just curious, you don't have to answer.
-
I'm shocked that people are more concerned with how they look or appear than be concerned with actual healthy eating to get to a healthy weight and stay there.
-
I must say I'm shocked at the number of people who don't want to eat healthy and eat better food, they just want to lose weight :(
-
How about nuts and seeds?
-
Yes get a food scale and weigh and log all food for a few days to get an idea where you are at right now. Reduce calories as needed.
-
Yes that is what i was saying, I mentioned the bagels because last year i had that amount on one day. Now i eat good healthy food and am losing weight with less calories than those bagels combined.
-
I found in the first month there is a definite adjustment to live with. You will feel hungry at times because your body is not used to this new way of eating. After a couple weeks these go away and i feel full all the time eating 1800 calories and i am dropping weight every week. Also the quality of food... i could have 5…

I try not to overthink my weight loss as long as i pay attention to calories and stay below 2000 a day i am consistently losing weight. I had one day last week where i was 1200 calories but all my food was vegetables and eggs and fruit. I was so full i didn't even consider eating more and after logging it on another…

Start logging every piece of food you put in your mouth, it is shocking to find out how many calories are consumed when not paying attention. From there you figure out a system of cooking and eating that eliminates high calorie meals.
-
I do it daily as i like to see a downward trend overall, a couple days of bad choices and i see the weight going back on.
-
I find eating out ends weight loss unless you stick to a salad and even then they are normally high in calories. A regular meal stops me for at least three days.
-
the biggest part is eating the right food. If you gorge on vegetables you are not going to stay overweight :)
