  • Hi everyone. I just joined this group, so I'm late coming in this week. I have a daily goal of 10,000 steps (approx. 4.5 miles for me) and I currently generally do a lot less than that. I'm working hard to get the numbers up so I can do 100 miles this month!
  • The women in my family all have the body shape of a small waist and large thighs. No matter how thin I get (and I have been Pretty Darn Thin at points in my life) they are always disproportionately large. I have never been happy. My beautiful, extremely fit daughter has the exact same shape but she LOVES her thighs. She…
  • I like to freeze extra firm tofu, then thaw and squeeze the water out. It gets a wonderful chewy texture and gets really crisp if you fry or bake it. It really changed my whole outlook on tofu.
  • Eggs Unsweetened almond milk Red leaf lettuce Apples Chia seeds
  • - Hard boiled egg, or any kind of egg for that matter (I love eggs!) - string cheese - apple or celery with peanut butter, or a spoon of peanut butter
  • Way to go! And what a perfect way to celebrate!
  • I have the same stats as you, but at my job I'm on my feet all day. It has taken me almost 6 weeks to lose 3 lbs. eating 1300-1400 cal. per day. I guess this shows that it isn't generally a good idea to compare weight loss with others...it can be discouraging.
  • I worked for several years at a major department store as a gourmet foods cook/demonstrator/sampler and that is exactly my experience.
  • Right now I'm 177 and a 10 or 12 depending on the cut (my weight is pretty much concentrated in my thighs and rear but I have a small waist). In dresses and skirts I can generally wear a Medium. When I was down to 160 a while back I was a very comfortable 8, sometimes a 6.
  • I like the Joseph's also, it is like real bread. And I agree about the Flatout....to me they are gummy and gritty at the same time, like eating chewing gum and sand.
  • They might have it at your store in either the refrigerated section (by the "natural foods", if you have a spot like that) or they might have the shelf-stable ones in the "natural foods" section. If you can't find it in one spot, look in the other. I usually get the shelf-stable package myself since it is a smaller carton…
  • I was always overweight growing up (as was my entire family) and I will NEVER forget a comment made by a nurse at my Dr's office when I was about 10 or 11. I got on the scale and weighed about 160 and she exclaimed "Wow, you weigh as much as my husband!" I was shocked and embarrassed. I never told my parents what happened,…
  • That is exactly what happens to me, except I can't eat any kind of yogurt at all. ! I am in my 50's, so my Dr. is always pushing the whole calcium thing even though my bone density is excellent. I started eating yogurt every day (can't stand milk and I can't drink it). Almost immediately I started getting the big hard…

  • I just put a scoop (1T) in a glass of water every morning. Give it a good stir, let it sit for a couple minutes and drink it up. I like it.
  • I love an apple, all chopped up, and a bit of vanilla in mine. No sweetener needed. The vanilla brings out the natural sweetness from the fruit and yogurt. If I have the calories to spare for the day I put some walnuts on top.
  • Everything I have that is UnderArmour brand says not to use fabric softener on it, I never really thought about the reason though.
  • I've always used hot water and a big scoop of baking soda on my son's super-smelly football clothes (that would get used every day for a week between washings) and it always worked to get all the smell out. Don't use fabric softener, it traps the stink in the fabric.

  • All I know is I am allergic to it - throat closing up, tongue swelling allergic - and now it seems to be in every doggone thing. It seems if something is "multigrain" now, it has the stuff in it.
  • I lost over 50 pounds with Weight Watchers and never once ate any Weight Watcher foods.
  • This is true. I like to see my ratio of carbs/fat/protein etc. and I like to keep my sodium levels in check . You can do all that here (for free), can't do it on Weight Watchers. They do stress eating within healthy guidelines but all you can keep track of is points.
  • That sounds delicious!!
  • Hi all, I'm new here. Joining this challenge for the first time! SW:179 CW:179 GW (for July):174 Weigh in Dates: Start plan (7/2 Weds): 179 7/5 Sat: 178.2 7/12 Sat: 7/19 Sat: 7/26 Sat: End of Month 7/31 (Thurs): Looking forward to this, good luck everyone! Sandi
  • Hi, newbie here but a LONG-TIME Weight Watcher so I'd like to throw my two cents in. First off, Weight Watchers is a great way to lose weight. I lost a lot of weight (50#) a while back , became a Lifetime Member and kept most of it off for several years. I've always been a slow loser, and now that I am once again trying to…
