Tricking the body does help. Sometimes just eating more good calories does the job. I found times that I could eat more calories, walk about 3-4 times per week, mow the lawn and still wow, weight loss. The dietician was always amazed but it makes sense. Just go with the flow, your body will let you know when it's time to…

First of all, it is always going to be a struggle, some days are just easier than others. But it is nice to come here and listen to people have bad and good days. I have met some wonderful souls here and there are a few I wish I could be friends with but this and but that not to mention the distance. Keep your chin up…

one vote for the hound, bassett for you. I have two, a blue tick and a red tick coon hound. They are both rescued dogs from situations not so great so they both have their problems. But they can go and go and go, once the excitement of going out has died down, scooby can walk for miles, and I mean miles. Annabell, let's…

Sometimes, like on vacation, it's okay to eat something that you usually don't eat but in moderation. I know it is a struggle to want to eat everything in site but don't do it. When you are eating something not usual, take more time to enjoy it.:flowerforyou:

The belly will get smaller but if you started at 322, the belly will not go away completely, it takes surgery. Good luck!:flowerforyou:

Yeay for you! I used to think this is possible. Taste buds do change. I have never personally experienced it until after my gastric bypass. Studies and dieticians will tell you that after 6 months, an activity becomes a habit. So if you don't eat pizza for 6 months, you should be able to give it up just fine. Never did it…

Wow, perfect for the christmas and new years holidays, makes me look forward to sugar free things due to my early christmas present this past monday -- gastric bypass to myself. Thank you.:flowerforyou: What do you do for eating habits, anymore sugar free recipes? You don't have to share today, just wondering because of…

ha! Did that 2 days ago. You know it's going to be a long day when you get up at 0530 and run around all day. Then go to work from 5p to 10pm. Feeling it the day after.

I work in the ED, I am a registered nurse. I wear Dansko's. I've worn Dansko's 10 years. I couldn't put my shoes on because my feet were so swollen. My blood pressure 210/120, roughly. 36 years old, fat, gross, I hated myself. If I kept this up, I would be dead soon. That's why I did this.:flowerforyou:

The good news is that you only have to work as one person to give up the weight:flowerforyou:

OMG I'm not the only one. I was in middle school and this really hot kid, older, Brian always bit the side of his lip...Guess what I picked up from this so hot guy? You guessed it ----I bite the inside of my lip and still freaking do....Don't know how to help, but let me know if you figure out how to stop. I still do it…

I have learned a lot from a dietician visit and the people here on MFP. I walk alot, I mow the grass, I clean the chicken/turkey coop, I'm more active than before. My goal is to eat 1300-1500 calories daily. Sometime I eat the calories burned, sometimes I don't. I am planning for gastric bypass in October. So I do plan on…

Hi there, it is interesting how much influence our parents, (my mother) have on us. Doing a little psychotherapy in planning to have gastric bypass and let me tell you how much control our parents have and what it does to us. From abandoment, depression, anxiety, to PTSD I have a mother to thank for. Now I have my 15 year…
