Good luck and welcome to trying again. I can't tell you how to do it but it's amazing that eating less and exercising really do work. :flowerforyou:

How interesting......Spanking, the last time my daughter got spanked was maybe when she was in elementary school. Now she is 15, about to be a sophmore. And in the last month she has turned my life upside down, right side up, and every other which way. She called me from Georgia (visiting her father this summer because she…

:flowerforyou: I so agree with you. I have noticed with therapy and compulsive overeaters anyonymous that I'm usually okay with very stressful things. It's when my cup is full and something small occurs, it's like my cup runs over and I'm done in. So I'm learning to deal with this also. If you get mad, because what you are…

The weight loss I'm not sure about but I try to stick with natural sweets, fruits, yogurt, granola bars, milk. I avoid created sweets like candy bars, gum, ice cream (unless it is sugar free). By not eating created sugars, I feel better. I think the weight loss just comes with it because we are carefull with calories, fat,…

I have tried the ketchup, it's okay......it's great if you have given up regular ketchup, and use it as substitute.

:flowerforyou: The day you screw up eventually ends, (they all do). You start from a fresh day all over again. You try to think why you ate what you ate and if there is a way to next time do something different. I read your board but already forgot the details. Next time when you make a pecan pie, look up "eating well" and…

I would explain to her what I have noticed. Then I would say, "how can I help." I would keep talking to her because what you have noticed is not going to go away. Hope this helps.:flowerforyou:

I don't do FB but I always do MFP and it takes up time. Some days I hang out longer, others I just log my foods. It's a great support place.

First of all, do not step on the scale at this hour. Do Not Step On The Scale. And yes I have those days too. But then you wake up tomorrow and try again to be good to yourself (after the food hangover goes away.) :flowerforyou:

Yes, been there, done that. I lost 78 pounds on weight watchers but started with stomach problems and the food cost......Eating healthy is expensive but I think it's less then when buying weight watchers items. I couldn't maintain weight watchers and I'm trying again, this time with a long term plan -- gastric bypass...But…

My dietician states people who document food and exercise stick with eating well and being healthy longer than someone who doesn't. So you might not stick with MFP but documenting helps to keep us on track. I feel that for me this is a good thing and I plan to continue. What happens next month, I don't know...I can't look…

Oh my God, that is so sweet.......I adore you for being able to write this down and share it with us, please have your wife read it.:flowerforyou:

Can you google the brand name and the food item and "nutritional value." Hope this helps:flowerforyou:

That is so awsome. The days I walk, I try to run from one electrical pole to the next every once in a while. And like you said, it's kinda cool that we can actually do it. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flowerforyou:

eggs, lowfat milk, nuts, lowfat cheeses are all good for you in small moderation. Just make sure you don't go over your calories.:flowerforyou:
-
Yay!:flowerforyou:

Is it safe to take a walk, 10 minutes one way and 10 minutes back? If not, read a good book, it's time for you, all about you.:flowerforyou:

 Sounds like god put you in my life right now for a reason. I'm having the worse day of my life due to my daughter. I eat for comfort. I had to see a shrink for gastric bypass surgery and she referred me to a psychotherapist for cognitive food therapy. Ends up I don't need cognitive therapy, I just need therapy. I…

Chewing a bite should be about 30 times unless you're eating pudding. A meal should take about 30 minutes ---as taught by a dietician. Hope this helps. :flowerforyou:
