I've been a vegetarian for 15 years! With the cold weather, I've been digging this chili: http://www.marthastewart.com/341736/vegetarian-black-bean-chili?czone=food/dinner-tonight-center/dinner-tonight-main-courses¢er=276948&gallery=274485&slide=263692

Do a half ironman triathlon! I think I will in the next year or so.
-
Do you have any coming up? I've noticed that races tend to advertise at other races and you can ask other people about good ones!
-
I have like 8, so duh yes please.

I had that problem too! I was seriously wary of compression leggings but they TOTALLY work. I tried them on and jumped around a ton in the dressing room like a maniac, but it was worth it to find the right pair. When it's warm out, I just wear shorts but they HAVE to have drawstrings or they will not stay up. Good luck!

Your husband is crazy.. people do 5ks with ALL levels of experience, TONS of people walk/run them, some people just straight up walk the whole way! The elites start up in front so they don't get bothered by the slower people. Sign up for one, kick some butt and have fun!
-
Ohh, I want to know this too! My fingers were so cold yesterday.
-
Do it, love it, keep running. Sign up for a race so you have a goal. I agree with the whole running slowly thing. It'll change your life!
-
I've had success with the target leggings! Hasn't gotten much colder than 40's here yet, but they've ben warm enough for that. I was a little worried that they wouldn't stay up but they were great.

I love to lift heavy stuff and I love new friends!
-
I eat lots and lots of carbs and I've lost 100 pounds since my highest weight!
-
I will be! Not my first race, but this is the first year I've been running so it's my first Turkey Trot. I'm excited! I even convinced my dad and brother to join me.

That's one of the things that got me on the way, I've been fat my whole life. I was close to 300 pounds when I was 18, and now I'm 25, 198 pounds, getting stronger and looking better every day - I love it!
-
I'm in the Boston area! Love local friends :)
-
5'9", currently 198 goal of 165ish
-
This is the goal for me! Might be a pipe dream :) I'd love to see the training plan, too!

I have the FT7 and I really like it. I'm not sure what you're looking for but the chest strap is comfortable, it's easy to use, and the calorie burn seems pretty accurate. I'd recommend it!

Smoothie! Make it yourself so you don't have the added junk, with some protein powder and it will keep you full for longer. If you get a blender cup (I got mine on amazon for about $15) then you can just mix it and bring it in the car with you in the same container. My recipe is simple and customizable: banana + frozen…

Yep, I've lost all 71 pounds while eating back my exercise calories. I'm going for fit not just skinny, and to do that I need to feed my muscles!
-
I'm not sure if you could call me a "seasoned and fit jogger" buuut I started jogging well over 200 pounds, have since graduated the C25k program, done a 10k and have another 10k coming up in a few weeks. And I'm sill over weight.. but I've found that running has made me feel stronger and I LOVE the feeling every time I…

I don't know if you have a Trader Joe's near you, but I like their adult chewable multi-vitamin. It's nice to not have another horse pill to take every day (I also take a calcium pill which is HUGE), plus it tastes like berries!
-
You don't - I have never deprived myself of food when I'm hungry. I don't think that's a healthy way to live and there's NO way I would have gotten this far if I had tried to do things that way.

Buuuut if I can eat over 2,000 calories and still lose fat and gain muscle, then why WOULDN'T I want to eat more? I just don't see the point of restricting my eating and being miserable if I don't have to...
