Smoothie! You can add frozen fruit, a scoop of protein powder, a banana, milk (cow, soy, almond, coconut.. whatever!) and then drink it on the go. I can usually only stomach about a quarter of it before an early morning workout, but if you drink the whole thing you'll get the calorie allotment you need! I even have a…

Are you looking for a pat on the back? Awesome! You're doing the right thing!

Thiiiiis. They have tons of fiber, good source of protein for such a small amount. Don't use them to fill you up or because Dr. Oz told you to. I grind them up and put them in my smoothies! And if you're worried about the cost, you can buy a HUGE bag on Amazon for pretty cheap.

Do it, she's the best!

I've lost about 70 pounds and am down 10 sizes, so for me it was about 7 pounds per size, I guess? I dropped a lot of sizes very quickly at the beginning, though, and it seems to take more weight loss to get a size loss nowadays.

You can also make it with leeks - it's really good!
-
But more specifically: I LOVE their frozen fruit blends for smoothies - they have a cherry one that's delicious. Chili spiced mango. And their nuts are awesome - love the salty sweet trail mix, and honey almond cashews. And I use their Everyday seasoning all the time!

Everything?

Fat is not evil! Nuts are a great snack. Just definitely make sure you measure them out - it's really easy to keep munching and not realize how much you've eaten, which is tough when they are relatively high in calories.

I disagree with this. Head outside as soon as possible! I put it off, but running outside is SO MUCH MORE FUN! I am dreading the snow that will push me inside for the season. And don't worry about your speed - that will come later. It's better that you start out slowly and don't injure yourself. I am slow as mud, but who…

I second (or third?) heading to a running store and getting fitted for shoes. The right pair of shoes can make ALL the difference. And find an actual running store if you can - they'll take the time to check out how you walk and run and make sure you get the right pair.

I wear TWO sports bras under my tri suit. You will certainly not be alone :) I find that they don't stay wet for long after the swim and I have plenty of support for the bike and the run. Good luck and have a fantastic time!

It's a total crap shoot, too. I'm 25, have lost 70 pounds at a reasonably slow pace with both cardio and weights and I have a good amount of loose skin around my upper arms. It frustrates me, but like another poster said I'd rather have the skin there than the fat!

I have to do that, or else my stuff gets eaten!

Just finished my second triathlon!

3 for sure!

If you're willing to make your own, this is my favorite lately: http://www.salad-in-a-jar.com/skinny-secrets/low-calorie-creamy-balsamic-salad-dressing I actually found the calorie count was less when I figured it out myself. So, so good!

If you're looking for something other than shakes, I can't really help. My basic smoothie recipe is: vanilla protein powder mixed it with frozen fruit, coconut milk (I'm lactose intolerant - you could use regular milk here!), and a banana. The fruit definitely overpowers the powder! I've also found that optimum nutrition…

That's my goal marathon! One day!
-
I definitely measure and weigh! Especially when it comes to something like pasta - it's SO easy to underestimate that, so I just bust out my kitchen scale. It's the only way I can be successful to be honest.

Lots of water. Listen to your body. You should be fine!
-
I have no idea what YOU should be taking but I take b12, calcium, and a multivitamin. Might be worth a talk with your doctor if you're concerned you're not getting what you should be?

Keep yourself accountable to other people - my friends on here have been AMAZING in that regard! I tell them that I'm going to work out, and then I don't want to disappoint them, so I do! Find a buddy or start posting to your friends list on here in the morning what time you are going to work out and what you are going to…

Your picture makes me giggle, so hey, why not!

I'm a little outside of Boston - kept waiting for it to pour, but we just kept getting rumbling from thunder! A bit of a disappointment, really. Was it bad in town?

Go to a running store and get fitted for a good pair of sneakers. That's the best advice I can give you to avoid pain! Also, make sure to take a day off in between runs if you need to. I don't eat much before I go for a run, half a banana or a bit of a protein shake that I finish afterwards. I like to have something in my…
