Break day every friday, but I do keep an eye on calorie intake... it's just too easy to double or triple what you should be consuming.

Inclined walking helped me a lot. Walk at least 3mph at 8 deg incline!
-
Congrats. Can't wait until I'm under 200...

I reward myself every friday with whatever I want to eat. A reward for not cheating all week. Longterm rewards are in itself, looking and feeling stronger and healthier... and seeing old family and friends and getting to see how excited they are for me. But yeah, working towards every friday is big enough for me :)

Increases endurance, lowers heart-rate over time, works your WHOLE body, and basically the fastest way to burn calories. P.S. Zombies

SW: 266lbs March '11 Started during 2nd semester of college. 5 meals a day - 1,100 calorie diet. Drank nothing but water (at least a gallon/day). Worked out at least 5 days a week (burned at least 400 calories per session; my goal each workout was to keep my heart rate over 70% for at least 30 minutes). Lifted every 2-3…

Next month I'll join. Burning 4000+ already... but trying to me a quota with push a bit more :)
-
I did not give it up, but just stopped it completely for the sake of aiding my diet. It helps that I do LOVE water and can down at least a gallon throughout the day pretty easily now...

Usually an hour or so before I sleep (right after working out) I either have a dry bowl of cereal or some cheese and crackers. Works well for me.

Anywhere from 8-15lbs. Usually around 10.

2nd year in college now. Like foster8, freshman15 hit me hard, and I was already over weight! At first I wasn't big on exercising around my peers either, but later on you find out it really doesn't matter. Good luck and welcome to mfp!

Well you just motivated me fyi. You look great! Be happy for how far you've come :)

Stationary biking was my only source of cardio for 6 weeks. Lost me my first 20+ pounds...
-
Donated a good amount. Kept a few to remind myself from where I've come.
-
Strong start! Keep at it. You won't believe how quick it all adds up...
-
After 4 months worth of dieting, I switched over to 6 eggs a day to change-up my diet. Tomorrow's weigh-in, so let's see if it had an effect...
-
Congrats :) Looking forward to the next 10 ;)

Pictures are the biggest help for first realizing weight loss. I first noticed my weight loss after the 25lb mark. I'm 6ft 1inch. and started at 266lbs.

Started working out in school as well. Kept me focus due to, as you said, time management. Definitely a life-style change for me.

Why not... Sign me up!

Hey Red team! I had some unusual pain in my ankle over the weekend, but it's doing a lot better now. Will do my best to make up those calories :) @sarahkova, add [ img] to the beginning of the red tshirt link (make sure to delete the space after the first bracket as well.

Keep at it! It will be gone before you know it!

Have not used a HRM once since the start of my weight loss. Honestly, haven't even considered one until I read this thread... Even though I keep a very close eye on the calories, my ultimate goal is to get my heart rate up for at least 25+ minutes (think 80%+ MHR) on top of lower intensity cardio.
-
For quite a while I would go to subway after class and order at least 1/2 a dozen cookies... That's 1,200+ calories right there... Did that every day for months on top of the useless junk meals and snacks.
-
Wow major difference in the final set of pics. You look great! Congratulations!
-
Congratulations! 4lbs more until my 50lb mark as well. Very inspiring. Keep it up!
