  • WOW, what a change!!!!! You're definitely doing good for your body, keep it up :)
  • I'm in! I've been losing slowly so maybe I just need to exercise consistently to get things going a little better.
  • Ok I changed my diary so if anyone has a suggestion.... I typically don't track the carbs and stuff but I don't think I've ever actually gone over. It's something to think about though, thanks!
  • THanks! No, I'd die if I went below 1200. I sometimes find it hard to stick to the 1500 but I suppose that's just part of the game :)
  • I think the general rule of thumb is 500 calories EXTRA for breastfeeding so 1800. And make sure you're drinking lots and lots of water!
  • OMG. How can you go camping w/o having hotdogs for 3 days straight??!! I made some great breakfast burritos the last time I went camping. I got some egg beaters (for convenience), Jones all natural rice sausage (although any sausage will do, these are quite tasty and considerably less calories/fat than conventional…
  • I think I could probably be more varied but for the most part I eat what I do because I know about how much to eat without having to guess. It makes it easier for me to always have coffee and cereal for breakfast cause I know it's going to be right around 277 calories. Then lunch is around 3-350. Dinner around the same.…
  • Ok. I was checking into that 100 push ups challenge and there's also a 200 sit ups challenge! You could do it! I know you don't need to do nearly 200 situps but it couldn't hurt ;) The thing is, doing more of something is going to make you better at it.
  • Congratulations on your choice to serve your country :) I was in the Army for 5 years after graduating highschool. I'll tell you that if you do ANYTHING before you go to basic, you are going to be way ahead of the game!!! Many of the people I started with could barely preform the required pushups and situps to start basic.…
  • Also, I don't know if you can possibly be sedentary if you have 5 kids around. Unless they're older and do most things for themselves. I'm curious about the bodybugg too, does that monitor your activity level?
  • Hey, I stay at home with my 5 kids too (ages 10, 8, 6, 3 and 18 mos)!!! I put my activity level at moderate I think and MFP tells me to eat between 15-1600 calories a day. So far I've been losing a little less than 1 lb a week. Exactly what MFP says I should lose. I think it's a little trial and error though. No calorie…
  • I've always heard the rule of thumb is to add 500 calories on top of what you're already "supposed" to eat. That's if you're nursing full time but I suppose that if you were giving formula or solids, you could stand to eat somewhat less.
  • That's terrible! I agree with the others, I'm sure she was jealous that you were getting positive attention for your weight loss. Don't let her put-down's bring you down!
  • YAH, go you!! Congratulations on your achievement :)
