I've been using the Ulla Hydration Reminder. It's a weird little LED light that you strap to any cup and it blinks at you to remind you to drink and it's been helping me drink more water. Their website states it will increase the average person by 3X

Everything keeps getting bigger. Try buying a single can at a gas station. It's all 20 oz bottles now. Now I noticed that Reese Cups had the BIG CUP in a single pack, now its BIG CUPS, and I'm sure the smaller cups will vanish Why? because they can charge twice as much.

Its the food. It's ALWAYS the food. When you watch the biggest loser and those people step on the scale and go "But I worked out so hard..." It's the food... (sadly they don't show that). Now I will say it doesn't matter when you eat it or where you eat it... but It's the food.

I did it with Milk. I went from whole to 2%, then 1% then finally skim. With Mountain Dew I switched to flavored water, then eventually water. You might try switching to a "better bad choice" and then baby step it to something more healthy/

Having that low of a calorie goal sets you up for disappointing yourself, which leads to self medication with food. Try planning your meals ahead of time. Cook a big pot of your favorite on Sunday night and take it in your lunch all week. The bottom line is don't give up. You are headed in the right direction.
