  • I am also 5'4". I walk with my 6' tall hubby and he has a large stride. I end up walking about 3 - 3.5 miles per hour with him, which I figure is good to get the heart rate up. If you don't exercise a lot yet, you'll work your way up to a quicker stride...or ask your partner to slow down a little bit. YOU set the pace.
  • I'm trying to get in at least 30-45 minutes of walking a day. Today was not good because of the heat and stickiness. This is a great site...I love all of the support and encouragement. Thanks! -Donna

  • I am 5' 4" and weigh 154. I am on my feet pretty much throughout the day except when I have a lot of work (part-time from home). My exercise is usually walking around the block or playing with Wii Fit. Thanks!

  • Hi everyone, I'm brand new to MFP. Based on my weight, height, gender and where I want to be, MFP recommended that I have 1,200 calories per day. It also asked how much I want to exercise.   • :happy: Thanks for the welcome, Lavender! I usually only walk, but my hubby just got me the Wii Fit and I have to use it more, so that's where I'm looking. I don't have weights, but I have an Ab Lounger that is just sitting there, so I might as well use it. What kinds of exercises do you do?
