Yeah, it was flagged so quick, my initial thought was WTF? But I saw I had a swear word in there and went back and edited it, that's probably what it was.

Yup, if I do that I feel great, just eat your veggies mama was right.

I found Aragorns post quite sensible and informative. All the science - what do I know- lol, it gives me a headache. I'm not gonna worry about moderate sugar nor think it's healthy to eat a bunch of it. I bet something else kills me. Lol

The American Society for Nutrition does a lot of industry funded studies. The author is a consultant to the food and beverage industry and this was presented at a symposium partially funded by Corn Refiners Association. I don't know about the actual merits of the argument, just wanted to note that.

This one time when I was about 7 I was at the store with my mom? I wanted this big bag of Cheetos Puffs and she said no. I later "separated" myself from her and went back to that aisle and started scarfing the Cheetos. All the sudden I had to puke but she'd found me and was chewing me out, I was trying to hold it back but…

No go ahead and eat meat too.

You need to take your supplement to fix the iron deficiency. No you cannot correct it through eating meat. If your anxiety is preventing you from taking it, then treating the anxiety should be your #1 priority. Good luck!

I don't really like fish either. My dad and all my brothers are professional fishermen, we used to have it every other night. I drove mom nuts pouring ketchup all over mine.

I did that for a while before I started counting, it worked ok because it restricted my calories. Now that I count calories I hardly ever choose a shake because I find the same amount of calories in food is more filling (plus it's nice to eat).

I know she's your friend and all, but if she's hiring a trainer and going with their plan...why would you want to put yourself in a bride's line of fire?
-
Congratulations then, that is quite an accomplishment. Take good care of yourself.

Yes! Also, Op, if you lost 80 lbs since September that's a bit fast, you probably lost more muscle than what would be ideal.

Yes, I have been through a hard time where I found it difficult to eat. I can barely relate to it now, but it sucked, I hope you feel better soon. Try adding in spoonfuls of peanut butter throughout the day. And bananas. Odwalla juices. Cottage cheese. Those were easier for me to eat anyway. Maybe get those ensure or boost…

No,I don't think I need one right now. Someone told me about it on another thread once and I was interested in the concept and filed it away for possible future need. I eat a bunch of carbs from time to time, not as a refeed but because I want to. It would be cool if that was all there was to it, but such is life <shrug>
-
Ok, it's sounding better again, I may need one after all...:)
-
Shoot I used to love the idea of having to do a refeed, I should've known it was too good to be true you just got to gorge on carbs. :( I mean a lot of carbs sounds awesome, but if you have to do it without much fat it sounds not so delicious. I'm trying to think what you'd even eat, like plain rice and bread?

Lol, sometimes it's like "dude, don't you ever get tired of this", but for the most part it's great because I used to have to go retrieve my own balls. Either way I wouldn't trade him for nothing because of course he's the best dog that ever was and ever will be! ;)

Naw, it's the scale. It's all within minutes. I too had a scale that did this, I got a new scale and it doesn't. I know because if I don't like the reading I get on and off it trying to get a different reading and it won't give me one.

Dogs rule. I'm hitting golf balls down the hill to the field for my dog to run back up right now. He's obsessed with it, he starts dropping balls at my feet right when I wake up. I didn't feel like it this morning, I was blowing him off and he dropped one in my coffee cup!! It's nice we have the room to run him around here…

Mine was my great grandmother's name. I never met her but always giggled at her name. And it's never taken.

Yes. I don't think weight has a lot to do with happiness.
-
I like the zombies run app. I've never used it on a treadmill, but I think it would probably be even more useful there since it puts you in another little world.
-
That makes sense to me. That article looks interesting, thank you, I will read it in a bit when I have time.

I'm not saying that, I get it and overall agree with you. I was only picking up on whether that burger and the other food with identical macros would be the same for your body. They wouldn't if the burger had trans fats. I'm only saying that there are some things that are pretty bad for you (trans fats mainly), and should…
-
Whoppers are pretty high in trans fats, though. This is the main quibble I have with "there are no bad foods", being stated so emphatically by some. I understand about context, but trans fats are bad for you. A person could be meeting their macros with regular Whoppers (and other stuff), but that's not healthy.
-
This is very interesting, thank you. Hmm, so now I retract my statement, I don't know.

I think the cardio still burns more fat, strictly speaking, all things being equal. I still do more weight training myself, for the reasons stated by y'all.
-
Right, understood. Overall, for strictly fat burning (not considering muscle preservation, which he's already doing), cardio will burn more fat, though. But agreed it's not necessary.
