Seperating a tendon in my shoulder was a hard stop for me. 12 months of rehab has reduced weight from 110kg to 97,so about 30 pounds/2 stones. Will be an ongoing process now that im in my 60's.

Seems a few of us on same path. 7 years mfp vet. Lost 36kg (80 pounds) but regained plus due to tearing tendon in an ice fall running. Recent family wedding photos shocked me back into full mfp. Down 10kg(22 llbs) in 7 weeks. 5 + hours a week swimming helps enormously. Good luck all.

I originally reversed my diabetes from meds to diet controlled thru hundreds of hours swimming. It is possible in conjunction with better diet.

Obviously fat. Not sure why you are trying to re-invent the wheel . Macros cover all food groups.

I think it is worth the small investment tbh. Gives more individual ,realistic data. Was a useful tool for working out energy expenditure from running+rowing. Far more objective, whereas perception is just too subjective.

Available privately in uk apparently. Not heard of it at all prior to this thread. Free,non-invasive surgery available on NHS for those with a 40+ bmi.

Close to kow thai gai. 800 cals for that large portion.

The response from lsak42 was spot on. Your doctor is correct, its exactly the sort of advice i used to reverse full blown t2 diabetes. Googling low gylcemic index foods might also help you. Good luck. Diet and exercise can solve this.
