optical swimming goggles
just had my annual eye test and saw swimming goggles with optics up to -5. quick chat with the optician who also uses them, and have just ordred a pair of -4. should be perfect for me. although not prescription, to be able too see other swimmers and pesky stragglers will be a huge improvement. cant believe i didnt know…

overnight hamstring tightness
recently started a new job which has me on my feet for 8+ hours per day. am reasonably fit and running 20 miles plus weekly. last few nights,hamstrings have tightened overnight enough to wake me up. wondering about the possible cause and any suggested remedies please folks.

what size is yours?
length of swimming pool obviously! gym pool is 12.8 metres. 62 laps to the half mile 78 lengths to a kilometre/1000 metres 100. minimum daily 125. 1mile 156. 2 km/2000m. i think at this stage i would find a 25m pool daunting. loving my pool time. does size really matter?

just looking at options as gym membership due for renewal. looked at nuffield health and wellbeing centre today and was mightily impressed. 25 m laned and life guarded pool, huge array of modern machines and a joiner fee free offer of £52 pcm peak, tied only for 3 months. give me the pros and cons. ta.
