W5D2 completed yesterday, now onto D3! I'm not worried, though because I've been running 30 minutes straight the last week or so. I have two months before my first 5k and I'm feeling really good about where I am now. I can run 2.25 miles non-stop. I am going to work on feeling more comfortable with that distance and then…

I have a 4 and 6 year old and they eat what we eat. Like you, I am not a short order cook in my house. I make dinner and that's what the whole family has. I portion mine out and I let the kids decide how much they want to eat. If they want seconds, then they are welcome to them. I refuse to make separate meals. My time is…

No.

I have seen this question posted a few times and no one ever answers it! Do you have the free app or did you pay for it? I am wondering if you can't sync with the free app. I have the free version and I can't sync either. :/

I was on W5D1 today, but I decided to just go with the 2.25/30 minute run again. I was not feeling it today and really had to push myself to do the last nine minutes. Lately I've been alternating running and walking to get to 5k, but today I had enough at 37 minutes and stopped. I'd stay that was still a pretty good…

I walk at 3.3 and today I ran a longer run at 4.7/4.6. I was able to do weeks one and two at 5. The longer the run, the slower i have to go. I ran 2.25 miles today and there is no way I could have gone that long at 5 or even 4.8. For me, distance is more important than speed. Yeah, I run slow, but I run!

I ran 2.25 miles without stopping! I still can't believe I did it!
-
Just slow down and keep going. You have this!

W4D3 done today. I have been feeling like I do better with a distance goal rather than a time goal so I figured I would just see how far I could run and I actually did 2.25 miles without stopping! I walked for a quarter mile and then ran the rest to get up to 5k. I still can't believe I did that! I keep thinking I must…

What about getting a part time job at the Y? I have heard that they offer free childcare for the employees while they work as well as a free membership. Gets you out of the house, a little extra cash, kids get some time with other kids, you get a break from the kids, and you get to enjoy the classes. I am not totally sure…

What if my husband Dutch Ovens me? Do I have to log those as calories consumed?

Now I want some bacon.

I am sure I've had anxiety my whole life, but I was just diagnosed with GAD with a side of OCD (I informed my Dr that that could not be as I do not clean; apparently my OCD manifests itself in a different way, darn it, lol) and started on 5 mg of Lexapro for it in April of last year, about six months after I started…

My run days are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday just because that's what fits into my schedule better. Plus, Saturdays are usually the day that my eating isn't so great so I don't feel so bad about it since I ran in the morning. But my two days off in a row don't seem to bother me at all.

Honestly, it kind of makes me mad; not at the person who is 600+ pounds, but more at the people enabling them. The little bit of the episode I watched last night the lady was in the hospital on a 1000 calorie diet and her husband and mom were bringing her fast food to eat....in the hospital. And then the doctor still did…

I just completed W4D2 last night! I'll add you :)

I'm standing up in a wedding in June and my goal is to lose 15 (of the 75 I need to lose) by then. I could use the support especially because I just got fitted for my dress, and we all know how those sizes run :confounded:

I completed W4D2 today and I rocked it!! I decided to keep going until I hit 5k and my goal was to be done in 45 minutes. I finished in 42 minutes!

I have that same problem. Do you have the free app? I know there is a paid version of the same app I use (the ZenLabs one) and I wonder if I can't connect because I use the free version. I'm not sure if that even makes sense, lol!

I'm going with the water as well. I don't drink any water at all when I run (I also do interval running, like you). I sweat a ton - I'm talking sweat dripping down my face and my shirt is soaked when I'm done. If I try to drink water while I'm running, I get nauseous. I'd try eliminating the water during your run and see…

This, 100%. You just do it. Eventually it becomes easier and it just becomes something you do. Good luck! You can do this - add me if you want; I'm always looking for motivation and support :)
-
I lick my measuring spoons. If I'm measuring out and logging 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, you better believe I'm getting every last smear of that! I'll also lick the knife I scraped the measuring spoon out with :) Sometimes I'll lick out the measuring cups, too.

Get rest and work on feeling better. Get back at it once you are over the flu.
