I would save some calories to have an afternoon/late evening snack. My eating schedule usually goes like this: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, protein shake, dinner, and sometimes a snack before bed. Snacks can be fruit, vegetables, coffee, tea, nuts, crackers, healthy chips, protein/granola bars, etc. It sounds like a…

Feel free to add me. Started with 170 to lose, now about 140.

I have lost 30 pounds with 140 left to lose. I eat anything I want, just in moderation. I agree with the above statements, just log everything you eat and after a few weeks things will start to change. I logged for 4 months before I lost any weight. You can do this!

I always leave room in my calories intake for the day because I am terrible with snacking right before I go to bed. Right now, its a white fudge covered Oreo. Just 1. They only make them around the holidays, so I try to eat as many as I can. Lol. I do enjoy the frozen bananas, also. Sometimes its a tablespoon of peanut…

If I ever get a salad from any restaurant, it is Arby's Farmhouse turkey salad. It's 210 calories (including bacon), lite Italian dressing (20 calories), and I can get a side of potato cakes (I only eat 1 at 115 calories). Then I get a sugar free green tea. Perfect for lunch or dinner. And its only 345 calories.

I want a little of everything when I go to a party/special occasion, so I use plastic eating spoons to put stuff on my plate. Doing that, I don't have to put a whole spoon full of that one dish on my plate, just 3 or 4 bites of it. Instead of grazing at the dessert table, graze at the fresh veggies table. Just my personal…

I completely understand what you are saying. I have been on MFP for 3 months and have just realized what it means to eat until you are satisfied, not full. 1/4 of my calories are to be eaten for breakfast, 1/4 for lunch, and 2/4 for dinner and dessert or 11 o'clock snacks. I used to eat 3/4 of my calories for…

I personally use "route tracker". It tells you how far you walked, how many minutes you walked, and your average speed.

Now this sounds interesting. I like dannon light and fit yogurts. If I don't have one as a snack, I have one as dessert after dinner. Key lime pie and caramel macchiato are the best. Any kind of fruits are good also. I am new to this whole thing, so I experiment a lot. Looking to see what other people say.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Being the only one who needs to lose weight in my house. I weigh in at 340 6'3" and my brother is 170 (5'11"), mom is 160 (5'8"), and my 4 year old sister is ~35. So it does get difficult around dinner time when they want something and I can't have a lot of it, or when they…

The eating after 6pm thing is a myth. As long as you burn more calories than you take in within a 24 hour period, you are good to go. Being hungry is what tends to set people up for failure. Go ahead and eat as long as it fits in your calories and other stuff limit, then you are good.

The loaf of bread? I'm confused...

Thanks for the replies. You guys/gals might as well be salesman. Lol. I guess I am sold and will be ordering one soon. Thanks again!

Wow! You have made the biggest step so far and joined MFP and realized that you need to do something. I am 6'3" and weight 340. I have 150+ pounds to lose and I will stick with it this time. I was always a chubby kid also. Good luck to you and feel free to add me. "No matter how slow you get there, you are still lapping…

You are still young. If he doesn't love you for you and only loves you for looks, then tell him shove it and go find you someone else sweetheart. Plenty of fish in the sea, as the saying goes. But, anyways, just do you. The thinner you are/less you have to lose, the longer it takes. Yes I have lost 4 pounds this week, but…

I also just started my new "lifestyle" (not diet because diet is temporary, lifestyle is permanent) 4 days ago. I too, have 150+ pounds to lose. I have p90x and love it so far, but it is quite a challenge, so I walk to make up for what I can't do. The people who work out with you on p90x tell you, if you can't do it, try…

I agree that the greek yogurt would be a no go. That is just horrible. And the edamame is a plus. I have had egg salad with edamame in it once, but have never figured I needed to add it all the time. You can use sour cream/cream cheese in place of mayo. Idk how much more healthier it is, but I think it is healthier? I will…

Well, to start things off, your goal is drastically to big. I have to lose 150+ pounds and when I see that it always puts me in a depressed mood, and I end up failing myself. Set a small goal. You should say, "Let me lose my first 10 pounds, then my next 10, and you will reach each little goal faster, than one big goal.…

I have struggled with binge eating for, well pretty much my whole life. I still have to fight it and have urges. It is hard for me because I am a student, so I live home with Mom, and I have a little sister and older brother who I live with as well. So their is always "junk" food in the house (donuts on the kitchen table).…

Healthy food I hate: Tuna Brussel Sprouts cottage cheese spinach sliced avocado (but love guacamole)

I have not lost 50 pounds yet, but I have tried diets over and over. But just remember, time goes by no matter what, so stick with it. Good luck to you!

I think I want to do 70 miles this month! Good luck to everyone on meeting their challenge goal!

I wish you much luck in your weight loss journey. Always stay positive and you can do it. Add me if you want. Good luck!
