I think going over your calories one day a week is good for the metabolism.
-
Amen to that!

My husband cut out carbs in 2015 and lost 50 lbs. He has maintained the loss, but does eat some carbs here and there (still very little though). I personally could not do this. I am a carb addict. :-/

I saw this on You Tube: "Jell-O Ambrosia" 4 oz. cup sugar free Jell-O, chopped up in bowl; 1/4 cup Cool Whip mixed in. Break up a Clementine into small pieces and mix in.

I never thought about doing it like that. Thank you!

I love cabbage, but I'm not sure I could eat it for 7 days straight. ETA: I thought this sounded like an old diet plan, lol (just saw that it is a zombie thread) ;)

Thanks everyone. And to those who asked...yes, I have my maintenance calories set to my current weight (maintaining my current weight).

I did Weight Watchers for a while, and according to them, your body metabolizes calories from a carrot differently than calories from a Pop Tart. I don't buy it. I know that I can lose weight on 1,650 calories a week...and it doesn't matter where the calories come from. I am not a clean eater (and I am not a horrible…

Thank you everyone for your replies!

I'm 5'6, and I look really thin at 140-145. I have had people ask if I'm okay.
-
Awesome...congrats!! Any helpful advice for those of us wanting to try this? :)

I lose on 1650/day (and that's net/I eat back my exercise calories). I'm a 5'6 female, 156 lbs.
-
You're right. But I am also interested to see if anyone has actually lost while eating intuitively. :)
-
Those are definitely great reasons! Thanks! :)

Thanks for your reply! I'm curious as to how or why you use MFP if you don't track calories. Sorry for my confusion. :-/

I'm also a boredom eater. Chewing gum helps - a little. :-/

Yes, I have done the Points Plus program and lost 10 lbs on it, but this new program is just too restrictive in my opinion. :-/

I'm 5'6 and 156 lbs (female), and I lost 1 lb/week last year on 1650 cal/day. I walk a few times a week for an hour each time, and eat back my exercise calories too. And congrats on the weight loss!! :)
-
Yes, it does...lol!
-
I don't think it can happen unless you are 600 lbs.
-
I think I ate an entire box in one day once :-O Brown sugar cinnamon is my fave/has been since I was a kid.

Leftover spinach lasagna, made in the crock pot. :)
-
5'6 and 156 lbs. Size 10 pants (comfortably), and size 8 (tight).

I'm at 800 calories for the day after lunch. That seems incredibly low and unhealthy.
-
Wow, I'd love to know what you're eating! I'd pass out on only 1,000 calories a day...lol

I LOVE food, but I have never been a big breakfast eater. I'm happy with a protein shake or a piece of fruit (sometimes both). I do like breakfast foods and will eat them for lunch or dinner. I have just never been big on cooking in the morning...I want something quick and easy. :)
-
Awesome! Everyone needs to eat cheesecake for breakfast once in a while! :)

I had Chinese for lunch today. I will wake up tomorrow with swollen ankles. Tomorrow I will be chugging the water! I am very salt sensitive. :-O
