Every Monday morning. Once I reach goal weight, it will be daily. I don't plan on tracking at this point (very tired of it), but obviously want to keep tabs on things so that if I go up more than 2 lbs., I can nip it in the bud.

I think 13 lbs in two months is awesome!! I'd be thrilled! :)

I remind myself that if I eat while I am upset, not only will the problem still be there, but I will feel awful for overeating too. One problem at a time is enough.

You're not alone. Lately, I have been skipping breakfast so I can have Halo Top ice cream at night. Half the pint (and occasionally the whole thing). I'm not much of a breakfast eater anyway, so it works for me. :-D

My husband's friend lost 50 lbs without tracking one calorie. He simply cut back on his portion sizes, and now continues to keep an eye on them. He has maintained the weight loss for 5 years. When I reach my goal weight, I plan to ease out of tracking, but weigh myself each morning. If I am up more than 2 lbs, I will go…

I'm 5'6, 156 lbs and feel great physically and mentally in the low 140s.

Yes, I do this. There's something about knowing you have a few hundred extra calories the next day to eat (even if you have no plans to use them). It's psychological - at least for me. :)

I can tell you that for once, I do not feel like giving up. I have tried to do Weight Watchers since the beginning of the year, losing and regaining the same 3-4 lbs. Very frustrating. I decided that the program is just too restrictive for me, and have chosen to calorie count only instead. It has been just a few days, but…

I think I'd let it be. If she wants advice, she'll ask.

I would think that as active as you are, you can certainly afford to eat more than 1200 calories and still lose weight. I am a 5'6 female, 156 lbs (wanting to drop 10 like you). I know from past experience that I can lose a pound a week on 1,650 calories - and that is net calories. I walk 4-5 days a week for 40 minutes or…

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate you all taking the time to reply to my post. I do enjoy many healthy foods. I think I am just feeling rebellious right now, coming off of WW. lol I do think that it's all about balance/everything in moderation. My eating really is pretty healthy (although I can certainly up my…

Congrats on the loss, that is fantastic!! :) Yes, I so agree with what you said about weight loss being hard enough without worrying about everything else. I think those were my exact thoughts as I wrote this post.

No meetings where I am either. Closest one: 240 miles.

Amazon has them. A pack of 18 bars for a mere $350.

Yes, I am thinking that calorie counting might be more practical in terms of learning portion control of foods I want to enjoy for the rest of my life (like ice cream and other treats)! :)
-
I think I did. And do you think you do better here because you feel less deprived? WW seems a lot more restrictive now (versus when they had the Points Plus program going).

5'6 female (46 years), 155 lbs. (goal weight: 140-145) 1600 cal/day

Sometimes I think I'm considering WW for the free fruits and veggies. I notice that when I count calories, I don't eat that many. When I count WW points, I do. But I am annoyed that my Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich is 8 points when it's only 160 calories. :(

That's great! Congratulations!

How is she telling people what to do? She is simply sharing an article.

A half gallon of ice cream and a spoon sounds good to me. I'm jealous. :-D
-
Thank you!!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. I'll stick it out a few more weeks at 1,650/day and see what happens. :)
-
Yes, I was looking for that too. I'm also counting, but is there a better (easier) way? Lol
-
No one?? :)

This is exactly what I was thinking.

This is what I would do.
