I have just 10 lbs. to lose, but have set my weight loss goal to .5 lb/week. I'd like to lose 1 lb a week, but that would mean eating no more than 1400 calories a day, and I can't do that. I love food way too much, lol...and I know that the slower you lose, the more likely you are to keep the weight off. :)

I don't think I could ever survive on 1,200 calories a day. I might have to hurt someone. :-D Your "menu" looks very healthy though, and if you can do it, that's great!

I've been on meds for my thyroid for 20 years. I can lose weight just fine - if I do what is required. ;)

I'd have a snack (maybe some yogurt or crackers and cheese), and bank the rest for tomorrow. :)

Congratulations on your success!! Can you share with us how you did it? Of course like many others I'm sure, my dream is to lose weight and not have to count calories! :)

Tall men are great!! I'm 5'6, hubby 5'9 and I think he's shrinking. LOL

I went over today by 600 calories. My week "starts over" on Monday, so I set my daily calories back by 150 each day for the next four days. I kind of adopted this approach from Weight Watchers.

Thanks again for all of the great ideas. It sure is nice asking a question and getting friendly advice, rather than "you must not be eating enough during the day" or "doesn't look like you're getting in your healthy guidelines" (or whatever they're called)...from another site. :-/

There is no alternative. My birthday is Friday and I am having my favorite, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I'll eat light that day and walk a little more. :-D
