Desk job here as well, but I do get out in the feild part of the time. Lots of steps through airports, though! It's wise to stay active, sitting most of the day takes its toll. Thanks to MFP I've become much more active on a daily basis. Go for it!

One of my docs (ENT) poked my midriff like I was the Pilsbury dough boy, and said "you should drop some pounds!" Nice- got the point across,though. My GP just said my BMI was high, in the obese zone; and given my family history said I should lose weight due to high cholesterol. So here I am, getting it done

Start slow, aim for small incremental change. Get rid of the junk food in your house or it will get you at 3am! Hang in there, you can do this.

My definition is probably different from others. Most of the protein I eat is from Venison that I know is not processed because I take the animal and butcher the meat.
