Great buck!! Congrats, brother, nice shooting!

I have a buddy that does my skull mounts. He removes the skin and major muscle components, then simmers it, then goes to work on it with a pressure washer and gets the skull squeaky clean.

Survive? I think thrive would be a better word. Yes!

Probably meant as a compliment. But WTF, unless the person was a health professional they shouldn't be offering opinions about a somebody being overweight. There would have been better ways to handle that and still be motivating.

OMG Carrie, if I saw a rack like that come by I would fall out of my tree, Lol! Hope you get em this year

Some like to go peepless, and I'm glad that works for them. But for me, I use a relatively large peep, due to my astigmatism. I've found that a peep field just a hair larger than my round (Spott Hogg) sight gets me centered and right on during low light target acquisition. When I set up a bow, I initially use No rear peep.…

To truly appreciate spam, you must slice it and fry it. Don't ask me how I know that

OP: Also meant to mention that the last several whitetails I've taken with these heads, I watched them GO DOWN with-in sight. That is an awesome feeling knowing that there will not need to be a blood trail, even though there is one. You just walk 30-50 yards and there he/she is. Not always, but I'm getting better at doing…

Hello y'all! I'm partial to fixed blades, just cause I've never had a problem with them. I may try Rage at some point just to test em out, I've heard good things from my buddy. But my current BH of choice is the Wac'em Triton 100 grain. I've tuned my set-up to have these heads hit right with FP's out to 40yds, and on good…

I log all food and beverage intake as accurately as possible. I use a food scale when I can. I even came up with a system to make sure (or attempt) to get all 8 cups of water in during my day. I log Cardio (morning and afternoon). But I do NOT log all of my weight room exercises because it became tedious, plus I change it…

Good call! Smoked Wild boar ribs and boar ham roast are my favorite smoker items as well

I had sky-high cholesterol. I hated the side effects of statin meds so I eventually stopped taking them, against the advice of my doctor. It was a frustrating time- I have a bad family history of diabetes and heart disease. Two years later, I made the conscious decision to lose weight and exercise more. Not for everybody,…

Crockpot pot roast. Easy-peasy! Drop roast in with beef broth, carrots, onions, potatoes, some barbecue sauce, seasoning. 8 hours later... mmm tender meat. Sometimes I do this with a venison shoulder roast...comes out so tender. For that one I add a slice of bacon. Good stuff
