  • Welcome to the group Vicki. Im Lise, Im from the UK. I am 50lb down so far with another 50+ to go. Im mainly trying to do this through exercise and calorie counting but been a bit derailed of late. I suffer from depression, treatment resistant and have been struggling a bit. Trying a new combo and hoping it does the job,…

  • The mental health services in my area are shocking and I am not surprised they are not even bothering to let me go to an appointment sadly. The good thing I have heard about the combo im trying though is it sorts out your sleep patterns and is quite activating during the day so may do me a lot of favours in terms of the…
  • Im not really sure what to think tbh I *do* think CFS/ME does explain my symptoms pretty much spot on though its a PITA it cant be fixed just managed. Ive spoken to my nutritionist. Even though Im not seeing her anymore shes going to do some reading for me if theres anything nutritionally that helps. Then its a case of…
  • No Ive not been tested for sleep apnoea - it occurred to me but a) I dont snore anymore since losing weight as per my husband and b)it doesnt really cover all the range of symptoms just the tiredness. But the insulin resistance is interesting and I will mention it to my gp though I dont have the skin discoloration and only…
  • I dont really know what to think tbh. Ive had a glucose tolerance test. Its all fine. Thyroid is fine, blood work is all fine. No signs of infection. I know it does fit my particular symptoms. When Im struggling I can sleep 12 plus hours without a second thought if I can get away with it. Its doing jack *kitten* for my…
  • ME is Myalgic Encephalopathy. Its also called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome. Its not a psych diagnosis. I went to my GP - well have been several times saying Ive had about a 2y history of extreme tiredness, aching in my joints, heavy limbs, sensitivity to noise, difficulty concentrating and she…
  • Well having sat and read the questionnaire, accompanying letter and leaflet they sent it seems they dont have any firther tests to do and have accepted my GP's diagnosis so they agree I have ME. The questionnaire is about symptoms and the appt I get will be to learn how to manage them and deal with it Not totally sure how…
  • Weighed in 2.5lb lighter this morning after being pretty.good since last Sunday. Also completed a five km muddy obstacle course race today. Raised.over three hundred pound for cancer research. Have decided to take a deliberate break from plan this afternoon but am gonna log it to keep me honest
  • Have one from me too then. Hope you are feeling better soon As for today I have enjoyed decent food - the chicken with apple and bacon was tasty even hubs liked it. And Ive walked 5.2km tonight
  • I have a surge but unless you are going to use the exercise capabilities of the watch the charge hr is probably better value for money. Of course if you are going to use the exercise tracking the surge rocks
  • Ok so today I blew the food big time but I was out on a day trip with a friend I only see twice a year. And I enjoyed it Tomorrow I have lovely food planned, chicken with apple and bacon (i ordered a meat hamper) and am power walking. Friday Im going running and saturday I have my 5km OCR. • Thanks carly. I'm a little bit funny about my scars being on show but think I will just suck it up as a throw scarf or whatever would probably make me more.self conscious.
  • Thanks guys. Having a better day today more energy. Got a week off work now which should help things
  • Yeah I need to rearrange my sitting room a bit to get it in but will be trying. Got one appt through for some cbt which have waited three months for so just psychiatrist and hospital to go
  • Its probably going to take weeks to be honest Cari. The appointments might come through in the next few days but they will be at least a week or two on top of that in my experience. Because its the NHS and you dont pay you are just on a waiting list.
  • I'm still waiting for appointments. Saw my gp 10 days ago and she's referred me to my psychiatrist and the ME clinic at hospital but neither of them has.got back to me.yet and I've checked the referrals went off today. They did so it's waiting I guess. I'm idk ok I guess.
  • Thanks
