  • I'm 35, work full-time and freelance in addition (so I work seven days a week and holidays) and I'm a full-time student at a school an hour away from me, so I get to drive two hours a day in addition. So trust me, I understand! :)
  • Not only did he cheat, he cheated with your friend. That makes it even worse. He obviously is not worthy of trust from you or anyone. In my mind, anyway, it's that simple.
  • I LOVE your new 'do! It looks fantastic.
  • I need at least 16oz of coffee before I am able to communicate using human language skills. I used to drink it with a little sugar and a little bit of whatever lightener was available - skim milk, almond milk, cream, etc. When I was super exhausted, I'd add a lot of extra sugar for the kick I needed... but those were also…
  • I did my first day of level 3 of the 30DS today (I got off track mid-week towards the end of level 2, but I'm back now...) I have developed more core strength, but I also need to vacuum the living room more........! I don't need to aspirate any more cat hair. I like the idea of doing centimeters since it allows for that…
  • If I'm not too late to be in, I'd love to join. I'd love to lose the last 9.4 lbs by Christmas. Sounds easy, right? Not when I'm working/going to school and having nothing but 60-80 hour weeks, exams, horrible commutes, etc. I could use some help staying on track!
  • Fleece-lined black tights, with or without feet, can solve a lot of fashion problems while keeping you warm. I often have a cardigan stored in my enormous purse just in case I go somewhere with too much air conditioning (though I also hate heat.) I've learned to dress in lots of layers.
  • Well, I'll tell you you've done a fantastic job, because you have! I'm still waiting for someone to say something. Granted, I was going from within a healthy range for my height to lower in that range (I"m just not happy when my body is a particular shape) but I never wear very fitted clothing anyway. But the stuff that…
  • SHOP. ;) Seriously, when I do this, at least I've walked the entire length of the mall both ways, both upstairs and downstairs... and I will park far away... I often don't even buy anything (or I just get like a $5 necklace or something at Target I needed anyway...)
  • THIS! Do THIS! Whatever you do, don't straighten that hair. That cut will be very happy for your hair... like wash-and-go happy. The color would just be icing on the cake, though you've got lovely highlights as it is.
  • Sparkly. Sparkly has never gotten old for me... any way more glitter or rhinestones can be worked in? ;) (btw I love what you've done - beautiful!)
  • The first two days are the very, very worst. I had to take a day off after the first two. But since then, I've been fine, and I've only missed doing consecutive days for other reasons. I just did my 7th day of level 2. I actually have a lot of trouble with level 2 as all the plank stuff is tough on my wrists, and I need…
  • I did a plain version with my own homemade yogurt (just yogurt and oats) and I couldn't be happier with it.
  • I'm a professional pianist (classical) and I have an Etsy shop full of earrings (just earrings - I'm ChouChouBijoux.) :)
  • For me, it's all about #2 and #3!!!!!!
  • This is *amazing*! This is really inspirational. I'm glad I dragged myself to do my 30DS tonight... I nearly wasn't going to do it... then I see what you've been doing and I understand why my abs are NOT going to look like yours. ;) AMAZING! [/quote] Im glad you made it here too, but why arent your abs going to look like…
  • Spinach doesn't have that much iron, sadly. Frosted shredded mini-wheats have LOTS of iron. I use blackstrap molasses - good hit of iron. Other leafy greens than spinach are good. Lentils are a good bet. Pinto beans are loaded with all kinds of nutrients. Sundried tomatoes have some iron! Those are all things I hit up when…
  • I'm against, but soy products give me gas and other digestive issues I'm not super keen on. I prefer rice milk or, if I'm feeling indulgent, chocolate hazelnut milk (super in coffee.) Almond milk is pretty good, too.
  • It's totally normal. The PMS causes water retention and bloating even if you're not doing anything to cause it (like eating salt, etc., all of which of course taste so much better when you have PMS....) Just keep up your good work and after it's all over, the water retention will go away.
  • I have stains on my teeth from excessive coffee consumption (and smoking, even though I quit a year and a half ago - the stains aren't gone yet.) I was drinking coffee continuously from the time I woke up until 7 p.m., thanks to many 15 to 18 hour days, and something to replace the nicotine. Over the course of this summer,…
  • I hope you can use this!!! It only takes a few minutes to microwave anything in these bags... I often do it right when I get back from the grocery store so I don't have to deal later... My mother bags up stuff in Ziploc steamer bags she won't cook immediately and freezes them - say, halved chicken breasts, etc.…
  • I'm lazy, I live alone, and I hate doing dishes. So, I microwave everything in Ziploc steamer bags. I buy kale, fill up a steamer bag, nuke it, and boom, done. I put the baggie in the fridge and scoop out portions when I'm ready to eat. I do this with everything - chicken breasts, veggies, etc. Also, I just microwave sweet…
  • 30DS made a major difference in my arms just through level 1 - I'm not even done yet. I don't feel any jiggle any more (hey, not ready for a fitness magazine, but no jiggle=way better.) I can see my biceps now, and that's a good thing. I didn't know how fast it could work, but it does, and I'm a real wuss using 3 lb…
  • It's not a fail if it's one day at your TOM! If I'm not mistaken, you may actually be burning a little more then... and if you're like me, it might just come from the rage alone... 322 is not a problem.
  • I prefer steel-cut oatmeal to other kinds (though I'll eat the other kinds just fine, too.) When it's cooking, I make enough for a week. I put in some real vanilla extract and some "baking spice" (all purpose spice mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, etc.) It reheats just fine. While I find it doesn't need anything,…
  • I agree with everything in this post, but most especially #1 and #4: they've worked for me. The white thing you *can* have is yogurt... plain... if you want it sweetened, eat it with fruit... sometimes I have mine with honey, but not much... My skinny mom went off *all* processed foods (that includes Lean Cuisine, cans of…
  • I gain up to 5 lbs (at least this month it was 5 at the worst) but it starts to disappear as soon as my period actually starts. It's the time leading up to it that is rotten. Once it starts, it all starts to go away along with the horrific cramps, so after the first day, I lost two pounds, and by yesterday morning I was…
  • As long as it's baked and not fried, I'd say it's fine! Potatoes soak up so much oil, and they're not so filling that way. Baked is much better. It grew in the ground and it wasn't processed before you got it, so it can't be all bad! BUT - do look at the nutritional info for sweet potatoes. I've always liked them, and now…
  • I'm not sure about the absorption, but if I don't take them with food or shortly after eating, I feel mildly icky.
