  • That seems to be the way it goes with me. I can do so well for a while, and then next thing I know, I lose control. I was told that I should just consider it as my body's way of adjusting and that eventually, I will get control again. I just went through it and I am back on track again. Have faith! Don't give up!…
  • ...my husband says that our bathroom scale is broken - because it is showing his weight to be 20 pounds under what it really is. (insert blood curdling scream here) :noway:
  • 5 INCHES!!!!! WOW!! Be proud! I also find it's hard to be patient with the scale, but you seem to be progressing!! I can't wait til I can say I lost 5 inches!! That will be a very happy day for me! Keep up the GREAT work!

  • I have to say that I have become a fan of ziploc sandwich bags. I can portion stuff out to take to work ahead of time and then pull a baggie out of the fridge and go. I have been using them a lot for sliced apples to snack on.
  • It's only human to be impatient to get to our goal...but it is also human to mess up. As long as you realize it was a "mess up" and you are going to get over it and get back on track, there is no reason to beat yourself up about it. Be proud of yourself that you are ready to make up for it!
  • I LOVE Harry and the gang! Sounds strange, but I have a thing for Snape (Alan Rickman). I cried (happy tears) when I got to the end of the last book. I wish the series would go on (Twilight too).
  • I may feel a twinge of jealousy for the physically perfect people, but the people I really am jealous of (and wish to be) are the ones having a great time and enjoying themselves. Go out and HAVE A GREAT TIME AND ENJOY YOURSELF!!
  • ...when I see diet pill commercials. Been there, did that, and didn't work. Just made me spend my money for nothing!
  • (I have never forgotten to eat. Ever. Guess I wish I could.....ha ha ha)
  • NOTE: What I said about forgetting to eat, I mean for the WHOLE day. I cannot imagine forgetting to eat for a WHOLE day!!
  • ...my mother makes an ugly face and says the whipped cream I put on my coffee "has a 1000 calories". It really only had 15. :explode:
  • ...someone says "Oh, I forgot t to eat." Really?????? :noway: (I have NEVER forgotten to eat. I guess I think about eating TOO MUCH!)
  • Welcome and best of luck!!

  • The Jello Decadence Chocolate pudding is only 60 calories. And I have also discovered the 100 calorie packs of all sorts of things that give me a treat, but controls the portions so I don't overdo it. Kudos has bars that have M&M and Snickers flavors.
  • Overcoming temptation is NO small feat! And you did it while not being a martyr!! Double congratulations!! (....wait a minute....CRAB soup??..... yikes!!) :noway:
  • Hey mlv1014....I have to agree with alisaperry74...I think you need to give yourself more credit. You have an awful nice picture. (no, I'm not flirting...just stating a fact.) :blushing:
  • I wish I had all the money I wasted on "products" to help me lose weight.... I was going to try Alli, but I could not chance the "anal seepage". Ewwww!

  • Inspiration!! Congratulations!! :flowerforyou:
  • I buy the 100 Calorie packs of things. If I buy the regular box/bag, I will continue to eat without thinking. But by having a 100 calorie pack, it is just the right amount for a snack and it stops me from continuing to eating unconsciously.
  • Thank you SO much. I printed it out and gave copies to friends.
  • That's what this site is all about. Learning and sharing...and helping others reach their goal! Thank you so much for sharing what you learned so that the rest of us can try to avoid the same mistake. I would have never guessed!
  • Toot away! All you guys keep inspiring me to keep going!!
  • For Bella? Edward. Without a shirt? Jacob! :blushing:
  • 2 cups of coffee and a bowl of Cream of Wheat. Midmorning snack was an apple.
  • What would you weigh now if you hadn't started this? I've tried before on my own without any guidance. I find that MFP has given me the guidance and support I need. The messages on the message boards are from complete strangers, but yet hearing what they are feeling and thinking has helped me a lot. And when I have a…
  • I just saw that someone else posted the same question just before I did! Good to know I'm not the only one. And there were some good answers too. Thanks!
  • I bought a pair back in September. I don't know if they have helped with my shape, but they are comfortable and, because of the bottom, they add a couple of inches to my height without heels.
  • My reply would be: Throw it away! Far away!
  • Wear some tight clothes and, without saying a word, walk around in front of my critical mother. And then not let her sabotage my weight loss success. (Yes, there are issues....) And I will enjoy the new me and not neglect myself again. Last time I lost weight, I did not deal with my depression. Now that I have that under…
