  • I've been bouncing around in the low 300s for way too long. Looking to get past that 299 hump and lose about 100 more. I'm currently in a weight loss challenge with a friend, so I HAVE to stay motivated. Anyone can feel free to add me!
  • I am a milk chocolate lover. I have never liked dark chocolate due to its bitterness, but that is now my go-to substitute for when I am craving chocolate. A high cacao percentage is best. Try Endangered Species. One square will do me.
  • I'm still here, I just don't get on the boards that often. I have been back on the wagon since November, still counting calories but committing to a lower carb lifestyle. I also had a foot and knee injury--left leg was all jacked up. I completed PT for that and I'm easing back into regular exercise just this week. I signed…
  • It is one thing to leave it in the breakroom for everyone to enjoy, it is quite another to put it directly on your desk, even after you've said "No, thank you." I have found that most of the time, saying "I can't, doctor's orders." stops even the food pushers in their tracks.
  • I'm diabetic and I've recently recommitted to healthy eating, and have been eating lower carb (try to shoot for less than 100g/day) for the last 2 weeks. I've lost 7 pounds so far, and I have a long way to go. New friends welcome!
  • I was just about to write something very similar to this. I think your relationship already had problems and the weight loss was the catalyst that triggered things to come to a head. I'm very sorry you are going through this. I went through a divorce and it was the worst thing I've ever lived through. Even worse than the…
  • I am an attorney. I love being an attorney but I don't exactly love the area of law I'm in--plaintiff's attorney in residential mortgage foreclosures. :frown: Btw, this thread is fascinating to me!
  • I've done it a few times, but it's been a couple years. I need to train for it. Yes, isn't that nuts, I need to train for a ride as easy as the NITE ride?!
  • Thank you for inviting me! I'm not a runner, but I walk a mean 5k!
  • We have the exact same starting weight: 364. So many times I have doubted that I could have real, amazing results, and here you are, even after all that you have been through! Thank you so much for sharing your story and your pics with us. You inspire me!
  • I lost 50 pounds on it over 13 years ago and gained it all back and then some when I quit. It's a great program, but I agree with the above poster. It's expensive and they overcomplicate it. The sense of community and support vary from meeting to meeting. I went to a great meeting with an awesome leader, but when I moved,…
  • When I started on this site, I was about 333 and I was given 2150 cals. I am at 306 and I get 2050. Some days I eat low and others I push right up to the goal. I have it set to lose 1 pound a week, but I typically lose 1.5ish. I set it for sedentary and log my exercise cals. I only eat my exercise calories back if I need…
  • Absolutely lovely! Congratulations on your success! You inspire me!
  • Love your attitude! My mom does the same thing to me, and don't even get me started on the pot calling the kettle black. You should go back to Goodwill and buy a cute pair of size 8 pants, and hang them on the door outside your closet as a visual reminder of your goal, and then sashay yourself right over to your mother's…
  • Excellent stats! You give me hope!
  • There are a blue million reasons, but what got my *kitten* in gear most recently? I decided I was never going to let myself be treated badly by a man ever again because I felt I couldn't do any better.
  • Try also to remember that weight you put on fast comes off pretty fast too. You're gonna knock those pounds off in no time!
  • I'm down about 6 pounds from the beginning of December. I only got serious again in October, so I'm sure I'm in the honeymoon period. Check me next year!
  • I kept putting off thinking about my goal weight because it is so far away, so daunting. It is similar amount to lose as you have lost, and it always seemed like such an unattainable fantasy when I thought of it in one whole amount. But you are here, you are real, and you did it!!!! It gives me such hope. It CAN be done by…
  • I'm the heavy set girl serious about cardio and "wasting my time" on the treadmill, going at a fast walk for 45 minutes at no incline because I have a bad knee and a heel issue. I want to be able to outrun at least 1 person when the zombies attack. I have had some unpleasant experiences with the weight machines in…
  • Excellent work! You are beautiful darling!
  • September or October, I can't remember.
  • Excellent work! So very inspiring. *applause*
  • Turned 40 this year. I want to be fabulous, not fat! Feel free to send me a friend request!
  • That's what I'm doing now, and I mind my carb macro. I've lost about 25 pounds that way. I'm just trying to make mindful eating a habit. I am pretty sure that as my weight goes down, so will my calorie goal, and I'm going to have to make consistently better choices to continue hitting that goal or staying under. But I am…
  • Subversive people are my favorite kind!
  • Before MFP, I once ate a whole pound of bacon. A lesson learned in moderation. Recently, some coworkers started calling me Bacon Barbie because I freely discuss my love of bacon. Ironically, I don't eat it that often, but there is definitely room for it in my daily goals. I typically enjoy it in an omelette. nom nom nom
  • Looking forward to cheering you on! Friend request sent!
  • Probably a habit from my old WW days, but anything that doesn't have caffeine in it I log the calories if it has calories but I will add it to my water total. That includes herbal tea, juice, diet ginger ale, etc. So coffee gets logged but I don't count it toward my water.
  • I am exactly in the same place you are with my food choices. I know I am not making perfect choices everyday, but I am trying to just get the quantity under control and so I am eating what I like but counting calories and staying under goal 95% of the time. I have lost over 20 pounds that way. I know I will need to make…
