  • I get the same feelings sometimes but I try to stick with it as much as possible even when it feels like I'm just going through the motions, especially during my workouts and then something fantastic happens that I don't expect . . . like I fit into a smaller jeans or I'm able to complete a physical task that was…
  • As a trainer here's the rule I use for my clients and myself, if it's above your shoulders and you have no fever then it's okay to work out. If it's below your shoulders and/or you have a fever then do not work out until you are completely recovered. Hope you feel better soon! :)
  • 4 to 5 days of cardio with interval training for 25-60 minutes 3 days of strength training Change up your routine at least every 6 weeks to keep your body from adapting. Add more weight when you can do more that 8-12 reps without difficulty.
  • LOL! Now that I've become a personal trainer I hear this ALL THE TIME! It's so ridiculous! I tell these people, well when you start bulking up we will cut back (wink, wink) but until then get to lifting and let's rev up that metabolism!!
  • I teach water aerobics daily and it is soooo good for you especially during pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I always felt better after I got out of the pool, especially during the last trimester, and it will help with swelling in ways you would not believe!
  • I was always told you should add 300 calories per day per fetus. I'm hoping MFP will add a pregnancy mode soon too because my hubby and I are planning to try for baby #2 in the fall and it would be so nice to be able to still use MFP during the entire pregnancy. Good Luck to you!!
  • I don't really watch the clock but I do try to stay away from sugary stuff at night, even fruit. Because if you don't use that sugar it will be stored as fat. I usually stop eating when I've reached my calorie goal and if I'm still craving then I'll drink green tea or hot water with lemon until I go to bed.
  • I'm almost at the end of my 100lb goal but I would love to be buddies. I hit 75.5 lbs lost as of this week :)
  • I don't see my name on the list, I saw AmandaR910, not sure if that was suppose to be me? SW=245 CW=172 GW=132
  • I have found that a few times a week by doing 1 minute sprints on the treadmill during my circuit training has made me a faster runner outside, plus sprints are an excellent calorie buster as well as gut/abdominal workout. You can also do sprints outside if you want even during your regular run by adding some interval…
  • I'll join! 40lbs will be a perfect goal for and that will put me well under my 100lb weight lose goal since I lost 53lbs before joining my fitness pal and 20 more pounds since, for a total of 73 pounds. CW= 172 GW= 132 100 pound mark= 145 Then my hubby and I are planning to try for baby #2 this fall and hopefully this…
  • I like muscle milk light. It has no sugar added, 15g protein, 100 calories, and is already ready to go in a little carton. You can get it at Target or Walmart or Sam's.
