  • Hi all, I just did the Spring challenge and really found it was helpful to keep me motivated. (Thanks Mel for all the work you put into these challenges.) I lost 5 pounds this Spring and am down to the last 5 that I hope to lose with this new challenge. I've been yo-yoing these last 10 pounds since November and want to get…
  • I'm in too. Thanks for all your work Mel!
  • Leanne, so good to hear your success story at the conference!! What a great feeling after all your hard work. Thanks for taking the time to be our leader and keeping it together, I know it's a lot of extra work for you. And a big shout out to all of team 1!!! It's been such an inspiration seeing how hard, and how far,…
  • I've partially achieved some of my goals, which were drinking enough water, planning ahead with meals, and adding variety to my workouts. I haven't been too successful with my logging goal. Logging is the first thing that goes when I get crazy busy. This challenge has helped me nutritionally by adding variety to my meal…
  • Sorry I've been MIA last week. Spring weather, calves being born, manure to spread, shoveling and more shoveling. No hiking this week. It sounds as if everyone has had a busy week also, I just posted what I had, I still haven't done the yoga video, I'll try to get it done tonight. I'm not crazy about the yoga, I think…
  • I've also had grilled tomatoes, pizza and stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce this week.
  • Wow, I'd say that's something! You've done a fantastic job and look awesome! Glad you're feeling better Leanne. Tammy you're really going strong, keep it up! And Rose, congrats on being only 2.5 from your next milestone! I'm trying hard to like yoga, but some of the moves start to hurt my back, I've been on you-tube trying…
  • My goal is to drink enough water. I've been slacking in that department.
  • Tonight I had tomato sauce with broccoli slaw instead of pasta. Very filling. Yesterday was salad with tomatoes, I know, not too original.
  • Good morning team. I've come to look forward to Tuesday morning weigh ins. I lost another .02 pounds and am learning to be happy with the small losses. I'm five pounds from goal and it certainly is harder the closer I get. This challenge has been so helpful. Am going hiking this morning with a friend, will put a 5 pound…
  • I just posted my numbers for the past few days. All challenges done. I'll try and get better about posting them daily. Where should I post my progress test numbers? The sheet has 4/26 for the date. (I missed the 3/26 test, didn't know we were supposed to do it.) It's really so motivating to see and hear about everyone's…
  • I also missed the 3/26 update. I don't have a cell phone, so posting pictures is not something I'm able to do. I did lose 5 pounds since starting and added 4 push ups, 5 sit ups and 40seconds to my beginning plank time. I'm able to wear (comfortably zip) the next size down jeans. I'm happy with slow and steady. Can't…
  • ^This. And then for dinner? As much NY style pizza, poutine (French fries with amazing ale gravy and cheese curds) and a fine cabernet. Yes, all in a tropical location. :)
  • I don't use salt when cooking. (I'm finally off the high blood pressure pills!) I'm not too familiar with curry, so I made a sweet potato curry tonight. Tasty!
  • Wow, way to go everyone!!!! I love hearing and seeing everyone's progress, thanks for the inspiration! I'm close to goal, so the scale is moving slowly, but it's finally moving down. Keep up the good work all! :)
  • Oh no Gayle, sorry to hear! I've been laying low with exercise minutes, I walked so darn much this weekend I wound up with shin splints. I was so disappointed to only lose a measly .02 pounds after that, but I'm over it, better than a gain, right? And then our internet was down, very motivating to read what everyone is up…
  • Congrats on your 75 pound loss!
  • Coffee with half and half, white egg omelet with no fat cottage cheese, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. Yum. :)
  • Eat more.
  • So sorry for your loss.
  • I got up early to finish miles, this walking is very time consuming, and I'm so tired of being on a treadmill in the basement! (I haven't been cycling enough because of it!) I'm on the road today, I've got everything done and logged. I'll be in the car, then a train for hours today, but I plan on walking a lot for the rest…
  • I basically used what I had, sautéed garlic, onions and zucchini, added a leftover bocca burger(veggie burger), hard boiled egg whites, and tomato sauce. It seemed too watery, so I threw in some dry oats. I wrapped the filling in boiled cabbage leaves, topped with tomato sauce and baked. The macros weren't too bad, 65…
  • Accountable: drinking enough water planning ahead with meals, not to wait until I'm starving then just eating anything in sight. logging, everything! adding variety to my workouts I've learned that being on a team makes me accountable because I don't want to let them down and am so inspired by their progress and efforts.…
  • Yes, the weather in New England has been very NON-Spring like. I've rediscovered the treadmill in the basement. I had first used it 3 years ago when I started this MFP journey. Back then I had to force myself to do 20 minutes a day, it was hard. Woo-hoo, NSV, I've been walking at night and it's no big deal. I've got 9…
  • Don't worry, you'll lose the 4 pounds quickly, mostly water gain. Oreo pancakes, you had me with that one. My vacation to Colorado killed it for me this past summer. The munchies from the legal ganj. I had no will power after that stuff. Never again.
  • I'm taking a break and checking in, just did 90 minutes full incline, brisk walk. I also have 65 minutes from today, includes all belly dance video plus my normal stretching. I'm aiming for 30 more minutes on the treadmill. I'll post my final numbers on the spreadsheet when done. Hope that helps!
  • I'll dust off the treadmill in the basement and lace up my running shoes.
  • ^ lol. I told my husband I was going to spend today doing these belly dances, he said he wants to be around to watch. Hilarious is more of what he's thinking, lol. It's nice to hear how confidant you sound. Keep on rocking!
