My dog can annoy the hell out of me, but I wouldn't trade her for the world! She's a Bernese Mountain Dog and great with our two kids. My son snuggles with her all the time. I just wish she would quit chewing on her feet!

There are some companies that make nitrate free bacon and sausage. Look for those brands when you are shopping. Just as tasty as the other!

I used to love to kayak before I had kids...I was out nearly every weekend and many weeknights during the summer. The queenie part? That's just me being silly. Queenie just doesn't go with me so I get a chuckle out of it!

I use chocolate lowfat milk or coconut milk as a creamer (about 1/3 of a cup) and one packet of splenda. I need to get rid of the splenda but that will happen someday! Stevia does things to me. :)

He needs to shape up or ship out. Is he the father? If so, he needs his a&* handed to him and needs to help out or get out. If he isn't, chances are he will never feel the need to help with them and you deserve someone who will treat the kids as their own. I think you need to seriously ponder if this is the man for you. He…

I'm a high school social studies teacher and I love teaching the kids but hate the politics that go with it.

Trevor Hall's new album is great. Whoever said Ben Howard is right on. Also, the John Butler Trio, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, the Avett Brothers and still loving Mumford and Sons despite is being a year old. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals before they went mainstream. The Civil Wars are great!

I say when your clothes get too big! You want to show off this new body even if it isn't where you want it yet! If you don't feel good in your clothes, it can be hard to feel good about yourself. So, if you don't like the way they look on you, get new ones! If you don't mind, wait until you start to feel frumpy in your too…

I would love that...I totally feel that i can't always tell be people what I really think about their food diary and that people wouldn't do that to me, either! I'm all for constructive criticism, for me and to give out. Totally get what you are saying!

I've been stuck for 4 months. I changed up my workout 2 months ago. I just recently changed my diet. 5 small meals a day. Very little white flour and sugar...I've lost 2 pounds. We'll see if it keeps on moving!

My daily calorie intake target is 1200 calories plus about 3/4 of whatever calories I gained from exercise. I would guess that makes is about 1400 calories. Friday Weigh-In: Do you know what I love? Putting on 2.5 pounds in a week when I did the exact same thing last week and lost a pound and a half. Seriously, this is getting so old.....the junk food is loudly calling my name, mocking me for my inability to lose weight despite my effort. But, I must resist......

I workout about 6 days a week. I get up at 5 to get it in before anyone else is up and before I have to leave to take the kids to daycare and head to work. I am currently doing TurboFire. It has taken some time to catch on to but now that I am getting it, I am enjoying it. I have been running for years and that is my…

Hey group...since I was treated for Lyme Disease this summer, I haven't been able to lose weight. For the last month, my hair has also been falling out. I called and made an appointment to see my doctor next week because they think it could be my thyroid. So, I guess that could explain why I haven't been able to lose any…

Since I have started this journey, candy hasn't been that much of a temptation for me. And, my kids are only 2 and 4, so we only hit a few houses. They don't have much candy. We don't get any Trick-or-Treaters, so that isn't a problem. I do allow myself one piece of candy a day (usually an air delight Hershey's kiss or…

You're fine, Use the Quaker Oats. :)

Okay, my weight was 195.6 which was down a half pound. I've been frustrated with not losing any weight over the past month. So, I did measurements and I have lost another inch from my waist, bust and hips. Another 1/2 inch from my thighs. That at least shows my I am getting smaller.

I love food and cooking...so I usually don't reuse a recipe more than once every few months. My favorite go to meal then would be using my homemade frozen lightened Bolognese sauce over whole wheat pasta. The recipe itself is from Cuisine at Home and simmers for a couple of hours. It makes a ton on the weekend and then I…
