Because it's easier to eat 500 calories in a single brownie versus 500 calories of salad or chicken or apples or any other healthy food. I'm a sugar addict I use to drink 1000 calories a day in just Dr Pepper... Add to that the cookies and brownies and other sweets I would eat every day. Remove all those empty calories and…

I don't treat myself worth food because I'm trying to break a sugar addiction... Just like an alcoholic can't toast an occasion with a drink... I can't celebrate an occasion with a treat. But that's me. I'm 10 days without "treats" and with keeping my calories at 1200 I'm proud to be 9 pounds lighter... Still have 140…

Only if you do what I did and consistently gain 5 lbs every week for 8 weeks straight without any changes in eating. Then it would be time to see the Dr.

I only weigh weekly at the same time every Sunday morning right after walking up and using the bathroom. If I weigh any more often I get obsessed with restricting my calories even lower than normal and get self punishing for every 0.1 pound of gain and add stress which then creates a negative feedback loop that makes me…

I wasn't asking a question looking for an answer... It was more of an internal pondering... I know what I need to do... And that is quit being a baby and put in a 5 mile walk not just on Saturday and Sunday but everyday cold or not, dark or not. To answer your questions... Yes I have pcos. My thyroid tested lower end of…

I'm the opposite... I can't fathom eating 2000 calories let alone 2x that! On a day when I greatly overeat my max intake is 1700. I wish my metabolism was as active as yours.... I'm 6'1 and if I eat more than 1200 average daily I'm gaining weight :/ yall amaze me (in a good way).

My calories hover between 950 and 1000 daily. If I eat more than 1100 I don't lose if I eat more than 1200 I gain. Being that I have 144 pounds to lose to be within my "weight range" for my height. When I was able to put in a 2 hr workout everyday I was able to eat 1500 to 1600 and still lose 1lb per week... But now…

Usually if you are hungry within a couple hours of eating either A. You didn't eat enough protein in your last meal or B. You aren't truly hungry but instead are not meeting a non food related need like not getting enough sleep, being overly stressed, feeling overwhelmed, or perhaps are dehydrated and need to drink a tall…

I love egg nog but will have to abstain from it as its so high in calories compared to it's portion size. It's not good to drink your daily calories.

Nanners aren't bad... Just not filling for the portion of the meal they take up and not satisfying if portioned with other food in that meal. As someone else mentioned... I love love love fruit (who doesn't fructose makes it sweet and we crave sweet) but would rather use the portion space for vegetables and keep my food…

I completely understand your struggle... What has helped me is to separate the groceries. I have one shelf in the fridge for my healthy foods and two shelves in the cupboard for my healthy foods. It's hard to take away family dinner time due to needing to eat in a separate room but instead of eating dinner together for…
