Today is my 1 year and I am so excited. I hope the 2nd year goes as well. I have found that sometimes I fall back into old habits and have fear of gaining back or the sleeve not working. Any advice for the next year?

Thanks jkern... maybe I will go shopping, that is much more fun now. lol

It is so funny you mention this because I have been experiencing the same thing. I got out of my way to toss food when I am full and refuse to feel bad about wasting food. Good for you and great job.

I like beef jerky but it is high in sodium. Greek yogurt helps my sweet tooth. Chicken cooked in various ways. Protien bars are always with me when I am on the go since they are so easy to carry

I didnt get hungry for the first few days either. I did lik the sugar free popsicles and it helped keep me hydrated. Hope it all goes well for you.

I have my first office visit on the 25th to start the process to get the sleeve and I am very anxious. I have done my research and know this is not a quick fix but a tool. I just want to feel better. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Good question. I think my stress level increased due to my living situation changing. My sons moved in and the stress level increased - and I am a stress eater. Also being around my sons who eat tempting things make it harder for me to watch what I eat. :frown:

I am not very active because it is so painful to move. I cook when I am up to it but not as much as I should. I think I gained back the 25 lb this last time because I got lazy and not really monitoring my food. Went on vacation, over ate etc. I'm not looking to be thin and I'm too old (53 y/o) to care about how I look in a…

thank all of you for the responses and the great points you bring up. I guess in my heart I want to lose it without surgery and try to deal with the issues of why I over eat. Thanks again.

YES!! I went to FL last week and noticed I was retaining more than normal. I notice it now and then in the heat of N. Texas but not as much as I did when I was in the humidity. lol I thought it was just me

one hour... one day etc. just getting into the habit of recording your food will help you think more about what you are eating. I have lost and gained over and over. I am back after too long of slacking off trying it again. I gained half of what I lost back since last year and ready to get with it again. My best advice is…

WOW!! 17 pounds in 2 weeks is incredible. It took me almost a month to lose that much. Your body is adjusting to the weight lose and will get back on track. If you try to lose it too fast it doesnt always stay off. Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a break. You are making a life change not temporary fix. Hang in…

me too!! I was reading some of the other boards and it seems like a lot of people are getting back on the program. We just need to focus and commit again.

I am having the same problem. I did really well the past year and lost 50+ but the past few months I have been soooo off program. I really dont want to gain it all back but have gained 5. I plan to go to store this weekend and stock up on chicken breast etc to get back on track. we can support each other.
