  • I also wanted to add that when I am trying to lose weight, I refrain from drinking as much as I can. If I am going out with friends and have a few drinks, I am usually dancing, standing or moving around so I don't worry about the calories too much.. but that night and the next morning, my appetite is raging which sets me…
  • When I am being careful, I usually drink vodka on the rocks with a bunch of limes and a splash of seltzer water. I don't know that it is very low cal, but it tastes okay and has no additional sugar and it hits you hard.
  • That is fantastic!! Keep it up and maybe you won't need surgery after all! Best of success to you on your journey ahead!
  • You make a good point, Sonic. That is not my intention. It is just very frustrating when I am trying to lose or maintain my weight and I wanted to see if others shared the same struggle. My intention of this post was to ask others to be supportive of one another, see if others relate, and let people know that we all our…
  • Thanks, Sonic. I am already aware of that. Have a good day, now!
  • Ha! My favorite was when I would say I had a headache or something and my coworker would say "Maybe you need some meat or something.." LMAO! I'm not even a vegetarian. People just tend to be very critical of others and I'm sick of it. If course, I won't support some one who is dangerously underweight starving themselves,…
  • I have done p90x and ate like an animal and still lost weight and had great results. If you are skeptical about the supplements, just try the workouts and go from there. You can do p90x too!! At the time, since I was getting results with the workouts alone, I wasn't too picky on my food intake so I can't speak of their…
  • I'm new do doing this and just copied and pasted with breaks and didn't realize they didn't carry until after the fact. I guess I'll say something that my second grade teacher probably said and that's "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all". Best of success to you on your fitness journey Coffee..
  • I know what you mean roz! I think about food 24/7.. haha.. I don't need anybody reminding me! Dragon- good for you! I like to ask myself "Is it worth it?" before I decide on whether or not to eat something. Sometimes it's totally worth it, others, it's like "Meh... I could do without that and the calories".
  • Great idea to start now! You can do it! Congratulations!
  • Yes, we all will die someday, but it please be aware that "diet" soda will hinder your wieghtloss efforts. The body does not know how to break it down and it will still act as if it is sugar in your body. I challlenge anybody to give up diet soda and watch their body drop 5 lbs within a couple weeks just by that change.
  • I personally don't think that artificial sweetener is a good idea since it is like poisen. Some natural "Sweeteners" that are pretty healthy are Stevia and Agave nectar. Check them out and see if you like them.
  • PGX is a great product because of the type of fiber that's in them made from the Konjac Root. You can purchase Glucomanan (The fiber) directly and spend less money than you would on PGX in the event you find you like it. The key is to consume the pills about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes before your meal. Glucomannan is great for…

  • Personally, I would suggest trying the 30 seconds of high impact and 90 seconds of "Rest" if your body can handle it. It would all depend on how long it takes for your heartrate to recover. If your heart is still pounding after 90 seconds of walking, then maybe extend it to two minutes and so forth. You will get the best…
  • I'm not much of a cold food gal besides fruits and jello's and things I think are meant to be cold. But there are alot of cold healthy quinoa salads that alot of people like, maybe look up "Quoinoa recipies" and you may find something good. Sorry I couldn't help more.
  • You can put plain green beans directly on the grill (Except they may fall through) in a grill pan, or in foil. You don't have to add any butter if you just add a tablespoon or two of water. Butter and/or olive oil taste great but add additional calories. Enjoy!
  • That's my sister! If only I could be a diciplined, I will hopefully fit in my dress!
  • Here is a helpful article about Soy that may help with some of the confusion.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-mark-hyman/soy-blessing-or-curse_b_673912.html The trick to eating soy is choosing an organic, non GMO form of it.

  • I've upped my numbers in the setting since I try to eat more protien and less carbs. You should be okay, but know that your body most likely can't digest over 20-25g of protien per meal. Eating more than that in one sitting is not needed and will just go to waste.
  • Awesome! Congrats! Maybe the bridal store has the 8 you can exchange it for so you don't have to pay for all those alterations.
  • I too am getting married (In September). I bought my dress last year and can't fit into it.. eek. And I LOVE my dress too. I need to fit into it or I'll just cry. I have about 10-15lbs I need to lose. Wish me luck! :flowerforyou:
  • Oh yeah! I saw the greek yogurt comment from somebody. That is a great suggestion. I like Siggis Skyr (Like Greek Yogurt), just lower in sugar and sweetened with Agave Nectar (Has a lower Glycemic Index). But greek yogurt is fine and so is cottage cheese. I was not sure if you were vegitarian or not, so I was not sure to…
  • I suggest incorporating Quinoa into your diet. It is a complete protein and tastes great too. Try to purchase a fair trade brand since Quinoa has gained in popularity making it difficult for Bolivian natives to afford it. Another suggestion is hemp protein. it is a great vegetarian protein. Other things to try are organic…
  • One of the best things I feel that is helpful for muscle fatigue is to keep moving. If you are really sore and can't work out the next day, go for a walk and do something light. Another thing that I suggest is to take Amino Acids. Some that I find helpful are L-Arginine, L-Orthinine, and L-Citruline. There is also…
  • I suggest you take the Glucomannan from Now Foods. It's a fiber that helps lessen the glycemic load of food, which helps to prevent the insulin spike which causes belly weight gain. I just ordered more since I haven't been taking it as I should. You could order it at iherb.com, if you spend $40 on the site, you get free…
  • Personally, since it is not a very long video, I wouldn't bother logging it as far as calories- if you do, I would guess 30-40 calories. I'm sure it increases your metabolism by doing it, but I don't think the calorie burn from just that is very significant. No need to "eat" those calories back in my opinion. Keep doing it…
  • Awesome goals! You go girl! I have the same goal as #1. I've always wanted to do that! much more fun when in shape I'm sure! Good luck!
