Sore Muscles

Someone make it stop! I know I've "upped" my exercise, and that my body is responding...but I make sure I have a protein shake after, and a hot shower. But my god do my thighs hurt! I can't even get up from sitting on my front step. How do I make the incredible ache in my thigh muscles stop? Tonight is weights and cardio, I don't know if I'll be able to do 1 squat...

Warm up a little before exercising, then stretch, then exercise. Cool down a little and stretch some more after exercising. Drink lots of water. Working the same muscles (less intense if possible) is one of the best ways to work the ache out of them.0

One of the best things I feel that is helpful for muscle fatigue is to keep moving. If you are really sore and can't work out the next day, go for a walk and do something light. Another thing that I suggest is to take Amino Acids. Some that I find helpful are L-Arginine, L-Orthinine, and L-Citruline. There is also something called ZMA that you can take at night to help with recovery. I find that the website: iherb.com has pretty reasonable prices (I have been buying supplements for over 10 years, and the majority of the items are lower priced). If you spend $40, you get free shipping, and there is also a section where you can select 2 free'bys. They may even have the protien mix you use.
You can use coupon code YES963 to get $5 off your first purchase.
If you do plan on ordering from them, I usually buy NOW products, but you can look at reviews and prices to chose for yourself. I really find they are good quality for the price. I also love Jarrow Formula's Whey Protien. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. These things are not nessasary to your workout, but I find they help tremendously with my recovery. Don't forget to stretch as Lifebloom advised! Best of luck to you!0
