yup... Hopefully for her, she got something "real" out of this thread. I sure did, I got my ticker working thanks to JaneiR36! woot woot

You are speaking the truth. I do Pray for her sake that this does not become a dangerous competition with her health.

Darn :disappointed:

me too, so i've not gone in a loooong time  OP, this is fantastic to hear. You got to feel amazing about yourself, I'm sure you do

I do appreciate it. It was buggin' me. I like to see my progress on MFP  Thank you again!

Much safer and longer lasting results too

Awesome Thanks JaneiR36! Just fixed it

I really enjoy a lot of exercise. I do it for the overall good feeling I get, better sleep, as well as being able to eat what I like and not suffer. At my age I need to do this and Lifting weights, wow, I'm so glad I started  Good luck to you OP, stay positive, keep learning and be safe

I don't want in anyway to "knock" your enthusiasm, but that's a lot to attempt to lose, a scary amount in such a short amount of time. Can it be done, yeah probably. I had a tragity happen in 2005 and did not eat, like literally green beans out of a cans and...etc (I can barely remember now). I'm not sure what I lost the…

I still can't get my ticker to show the 9 lbs I lost since Feb 16th. It still says 0 lbs lost, blah, but I know it's gone :). I'm also not going to weigh again till next month. As for the 1800/day, are you set at "sedentary" or did you add an activity level? Mine is "sedentary", i'm 5, 5", but also 47 y/o and I get 1420…

Good on you for the lifting. I started over 2 weeks ago. I have 9 hours in so far. I'm doing 15 lb curls with the bar (not sure how much that weighs) and I started w/ just the bar the first session  I do 1.5 hour sessions. I'm blessed to have my hubby's equiptment and he trains me as well. I'm loving it. I feel…

I would weigh it, as well as workout extra that day. OOOHhhh pizza & chocolate, well worth the workout for it  Enjoy your treat day

I've not eaten 3000 since I've been here on MFP. I have gone a bit over 2000, but only on days I workout (which has been everyday in 24 days, except one day before Easter) and only on a couple of those days, did I eat 2000, but with 1/2 exercise calories included. It felt like a cheat day, but I was still in my goal, but…

You are gettng there! I'd say yes it's a "triumph" and you should feel gr8! I yo-yo'd as well, starved myself, downed to 87 Lbs at my saddest, lowest time of my life. I was so ignorant about my own health. I wanted it "Now" at the time and did not think nor care about what I was doing to myself. Over the years, I started…

1860 on the day's she does not exercise that is. Would that be too much? I think the suggestion to stick with NEAT for now is good, then add the exercise calories on the days she works out and then eat back 1/2 on those days. Op, your getting great advice on this thread. You'll get it. It has taken me time as well to…

True, but if she's only working out and burning x times per week, she should only be eating back 1/2 those calories on those days. If she's sedentary the other x amount of times per week, wouldn't 1860 be too much? I'm learning too and I like what you are saying
-
Yes, yes and yes^
-
Bravo You! Inspiration here  I'm 47 too. Wish I knew then (when I was younger) what I'm learning now!
-
I'm 47 y/o so my needs may differ. I'm set to "sedentary" and add my workouts. I was given 1420/day + 1/2 workout calories. Are you set to "sedentary" ?

I'm 5, 5", started at 163 Lbs on Feb 16th (this year). Last time I weighed I was 154 Lbs. I have not weighed in close to 2 weeks and will not weigh until next month. Often I burn over 1000 a day, but eat back 1/2 if not less of those calories (to compensate for over estimated burns). But I am shrinking in size, more…

I love's my coffee. 3, 8 ounce cups start my day. I have been having 2 Tbs milk and 3 splendas in my coffee at 33 calories per cup, but I have noticed (out of splenda today) that I am enjoying my coffee black as well. Yes, it does help me get through until I need to fuel with food. Love, love, love it!

^Hey, congratulations on your progress^ I started with walking a small amount per day, then more and more, now I have been doing aerobics step 6", walking, and 2 weeks into lifting weights. Getting stronger and way more active. I only eat back 1/2 if not less of the exercise calories. Sleeping well, eating well makes the…

12 pounds in two months, doing it the safe way for me, not getting sick, I'd be "happy dancing".
-
^Yup

Good luck be safe...not sure your going to get your answer on this forum. It appears quite dangerous imo. The sauna will get rid of water weight temporarily, but you say your dehydrated, so that sounds even more unsafe as well as very temporary. Anyway Op be safe and I wish you well.
-
Yes!

"At the end of two months I only lost 12 pounds. You can imagine my frustration." ???? Eat enough to fuel your body properly, 1000/day too low, workouts are great, but you need to eat enough to fuel those workouts. Be patient and keep educating yourself and you'll find your balance.

Not enough info to even attempt to help. You should open your diary. How long do you walk each time. I'm set to 1420/ a day and exercise daily, but only eat back 1/2 the exercise calories if not less. But 2 pounds in a month is very good. Imo. Good luck Op

Brrrrrr, no.

For me, yes
