I was discouraged also but I brought a measuring tape to take some measurements in my problem areas and found that I was not losing weight but I was losing inches....which helped me to regroup myself and stay the course!!

Yes I started to incorporate exercise now, before I didn't Have you added any exercise or tried to be more active? Those extra calories really help. Also an overweight person can be healthier than a skinny person if the skinny person does not exercising and just eats very little of the energy dense foods. [/quote]

OK I think I tried to quote your statement, but I'm still learning how to use MFP...anyways at that time I drastically changed how I ate: not fast food sandwich places, no pop and juice, and focused on eating clean as much as possible.

Thanks, I had to change my mindset and perspective...slow and steady along w/ patience and perserverance!!

At that time I was 332 lbs and the stories I was reading about was people who was 300 lbs or more...Although I didn't think I was thaaaat overweight as I am 6'0 feet tall so my weight was kinda hidden. By the third month my weight loss slowed down to about 6-8 lbs a month...but initially I think I was losing water weight…

Congratulations to everyone on their success, this gives me so much encouragement to stay the journey and know it is possible and just take my time and not rush the process...just have trust in the process and not get discouraged!!

I asked my physician they said not to lift more than 5 lbs, use a 2 or 3 lbs weight, but I was thinking this is not gonna tone at all to light. Just curious, if your pressure gets to low when you take your meds/ why is lifting weights hard (is it muscle weakness)?

Please add me for support, inspiration, and motivation...I try my best to keep track daily on MFP...harder over the wkends Thanks!!

I love past also, to get a different flavor I put a little olive oil in a pan and squeeze a whole lemon over the olive oil and let it simmer a little, then I add my pasta into the olive oil and lemon juice...then I sprinkle a little parmesean cheese and mix it all together.

Ok thanks for everyone thoughts...you know the so-called "medical doctors" were telling me I have to stop eating bread so much because it bloats you and I will never loose weight...then I thought about my progress and thought maybe they have a point.
