  • I like to sub ground turkey into this Chicken Lettuce Wraps recipe. Because you use lettuce instead of bread to wrap, it keeps the calories low. And it's SO good! http://damndelicious.net/2014/05/30/pf-changs-chicken-lettuce-wraps/
  • I'm so glad you liked them! Think I'll be making these again this week myself :)
  • Thanks for all the input! I think I am going to stick to what I've been doing for now. It is rare that I don't crave carbs, so if I can get away with eating more protein and fewer carbs for now, I might as well go with it. I'm sure the carb cravings will kick back in before i know it :)
  • Feta sure does have a lot of fat! I was surprised to see that when I entered the numbers. It tastes SO good though - luckily it is strong, so a little goes a long way :)
  • If you do 5 servings and 1/4 cup of feta, each serving has 164 calories, 1 carb, 9 g fat, and 21 g protein. This is using full-fat feta, I think they make reduced fat feta too? Don't know if it tastes any good though!

  • Sounds awesome! I will try these this weekend!

Thyroid issues come to mind. It's possible be just has a slow metabolism, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure there isn't something bigger going on here.
  • I made these for dinner last night, too. So good! I par-baked the bell peppers a little so they wouldn't be crunchy when they were done. I also sauteed the onions and mushrooms in a little chicken broth and olive oil instead of butter. They satisfied that craving for an actual cheesesteak without the gigantic bread roll…
  • Fresh grape leaves are even more divine than jarred!
  • I am Lebanese, and one of my favorite Lebanese dishes uses grape leaves (they do taste good!). If you've ever had Greek-style dolmades (grape leaves stuffed with rice, mint, etc and served cold), these are a bit similar but they use meat and are served hot. The filling includes rice, ground beef or lamb (turkey or chicken…
  • I adore tempeh! I have never thought it tastes bitter like some people do, but I assume it's like cilantro where some people love it and others think it tastes like soap :) I like to crumble tempeh, sautee in olive oil, add a ton of shredded or chopped veggies (onion, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, garlic, etc.) and then…
